As similar cases begin to pile up how long will it be before Americans are routinely tortured for noncompliance and refusing to have their 4th amendment violated?..." http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/november2006/161106torturedid.htm I was extremely distressed watching this video, it makes me think... is this what it has come to? |
spill_no_sick Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 31 Gender: - Posts: 8588 | no, it is a very rare case that something like this happens yes, it has something to do with racism (I didn't see the person, just their name... no, this person did not cooperate, before they tazered him he was yelling, "don't fucking touch me" which they had every right to do I don't really know why they wanted his ID, since it would make the police look less corupt to include that information, we may never know why they wanted to know well, college security is pretty strict overall, this one incident, if you're asked for your ID cooperate for Christ's sake but yes, police are abusing the right for tazers (even though most deaths are because the person is high to begin with overall: -this incident, the person was yelling at them, acting like a hippie, they weren't tortured, the cops had no evidence showing innocence and certainly they victim was acting like an innocent man it goes back to when that bipolar guy ran around a plane and said he had a bomb, the police had every right to shoot him even though he was innocent, no one made a mistake, it was an inevetable freak accident -most of the times people die is because they have plenty of drugs in their system... that also goes back to the guy who lived near me, he ran at cops with a boxcutter he had enough cocaine in his system that it took twenty-one bullets to bring him down drugs and cops don't mix, drugs and college dorm parties do -police probably have more authority than anyone in the U.S. the president has plenty of checks and balances to weigh him (hopefully "her" once we get a female candidate who isn't Clinton or Rice) down but police can get away with a lot think back to Rodney King |
Dom Jackass ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Male Posts: 1691 | i think what the cops did was way excessive, tazering a man whoes just lying on the floor, whats the point? |
Old Gregg King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 33 Gender: - Posts: 4119 | I think that tazering him laying on the ground was just a precaution to make sure he wasn't able to move. But at the same time, as highly trained as our police forces say they are, don't you think that maybe they would have known that one or two was enough? I don't think repeated tazering was necessary. |

Matt Smith Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 31134 ![]() ![]() | spill_no_sick: You say hippie like its a bad thing. Albeit, he should have just shown his ID. Forcing other people to be violent to you is almost as bad as being violent yourself. "Here's your Patriot Act, here's your f---ing abuse of power." That was uneccesary. So was tasering him, but you know, he could have avoided that. Overall, an unfortunate situation which could have been avoided. |
anti-christ of suburbia Idiot ![]() Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 986 ![]() | i thought this topic was going to be more serious. this was an avoidable, one off situation where both parties acted like idiots. end of |
spill_no_sick Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 31 Gender: - Posts: 8588 | Bloodraine:there are different types of hippies You and Sam are definately the good kind, the kind that is more liberal: you want to further the human race for the better...the "John Lennon" hippie if you will then there is this idiot cops are trained to be hardasses because they meet situations where they have to be, do you think a terrorist would just say, "dammit, I have no ID, cuff me" no, they would do just what this kid did he's a complete fucking idiot, trying to turn something inevitable into a protest (the "high school dropout hippie" if you will. They protest what is not to protest. Like Eminem, Kanye West...and yes, even Green Day can fit into this category so yeah, both parties were wrong violence is bad provoking it is much, much worse (especially since the cop wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't assume the worst |
