So November 30th, 2007 this show called My Night at the Grammy's aired. It was going through all 50 years of live Grammy performances. It went from the first year, all the way to last year. But did you ever think that Green Day would be voted number one out of 50 other choices?
This is Slappy's Dedicated to Libby thread. Cause she gave me the idea of this topic thing
Well, I don't think this could be locked for a duplicated topic..But feel free to block it if it doesn't fit in in the right ways.
I'm rather pleased that they got the top spot. I mean, there was someone that was against actually voting for them, despite being a Green Day fan. Saying that it wasn't worth wasting your time at all.
But I'm really glad, that I voted for them, because not only did they get in the top 25, they reached no.1.
Just proves that they still have it! and the spark never left them.
It's pretty amazing, but The Bullet In A Bible performance was better.
Which was voted second best rock show ever by Kerrang.
Which is pretty damn good.
I wish i was there.
DUDE!!! I was SOOOOOO Freaking happy....my mom was watching it and I came in the room and saw the part where they were previewing the ones on the list that were next and I saw Green Day and I screamed and started watching the rest with her...I didn't expect them to get number one at all-not that I didn't want them to but since Green Day doesn't get appreciated for their greatness all that often from things like that because usually stupid things like Usher or Ricky Martin get the number one spot. When I voted for it, I wasn't getting my hopes up but that was awesome!!!!! I was so happy that I watched BIAB right afterwards
p.s. I really liked the London Calling cover from Costello, Grohl, Springsteen, and whoever else did it
