RebelofSuburbia Falling In Love With The Board
Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 6885 | July 12th, 2009 at 02:32pm I got standing tickets for € 42. For a band as big as Green Day, I think that's quite a cheap deal. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2218 | July 13th, 2009 at 08:04am I bought two standing tickets from viagogo for £240.
And sold the ones that I already had (seated) for £120... which is fully worth it for the amazing time I'm planning on having - we're booking hotels and EVERYTHING haha
Also, on a side note - does anyone have any experience with viagogo? |

 | July 14th, 2009 at 12:09am Comrade182:When I first saw GD it cost me £25... I don't remember that, I just still have my ticket. This time it has cost me £42.50 for each ticket. However I'm seeing them somewhere bigger and newer than I was before, so it's understandable.
When I saw the price I thought it was a fairly decent price to go see them. So I think that they are reasonabley priced
I wouldn't pay $200 for a ticket though... well.... I would for GD... but that it! ....I ended up paying almost $300 for 2 floor tickets because they were sold out where I'm going
they were originally $45 something a piece but I paid $120

Wasn't MK outside? Maybe it's more expensive coz it's inside this time?
I dunno. XD
MK was a massive show with 3 major-ish supports,
I would have said that it would have been at least worth £60.
People would have still paid it. |

| July 15th, 2009 at 01:15pm I paid £80 for two seated Green Day tickets in the higher tier, which was all I could get. I've looked at the seating plan and they're not all that great seats. I thought that this was a HUUGE amount of money. And I think that included service charge but not booking fee, or whatever other random charge they lumber you with.
I saw My Chemical Romance at the same venue a couple of years back and I paid about £40. I know because of the credit-crunch and inflation and whatever the price of things go up, but double the price in 2 years? I don't think that's entirely the venue's doing.
Can i just say, I'm used to paying £35 for two tickets to a gig, not the most part of 100 quid. But I wanted to pay whatever to see Green Day. I just hope that there's some sick support and then i'd understand why it was so much. |
