It's not over played to me because I hate the video and don't really watch music television. |

| June 8th, 2010 at 05:06am You know how they recorded covers of "A Quick One While He's Away" by The Who, "Another State of Mind" by Social Distortion, "That's All Right" by Elvis Presley, and "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, and released them as bonus tracks on different versions of 21st Century Breakdown? I think a more meaningful and relevent cover would've been, of course, "Gloria" by Them. They should've covered that and stuck it somewhere where it made sense in the narrative of the album, or as a hidden track at the end, like they did with "All By Myself" on Dookie, for instance. |

A lot of the riffs are extremely similar.
I agree completely. Many of the riffs and melodies of songs remind me of other Green Day songs, or Foxboro Hot Tubs, or The Network. And if they don't remind me of Green Day and side projects, I find similarities to other artists and songs. For instance, "Last Night On Earth" reminds me of "All My Loving" by The Beatles, and the piano in the beginning of "Restless Heart Syndrome" (or one of the other songs with piano in the beginning) to me sounds very similar to "Piano Man" by Billy Joel. |

Age: 26 Gender: Female Posts: 2016 | March 12th, 2011 at 11:26am Sure, its not the Green Day from 2004 American Idiot or 1994 Dookie. But still the album was pretty good in my opinion. |

My fav song off it would be American Eulogy or Peacemaker. |
