Lost, chapter 8
Billie Joe's point of view.
I walked down into the kitchen and I felt peculiarly happy for some odd reason. Mike was making pancakes and Tre was asleep at the table with a plate in his hand.
"GOOOD MORNING TRE!!" I walked over and yelled into Tre's ear. He jumped about 10 feet in the air and didn't even bother doing anything back to me. He just sat up and asked Mike for his pancakes.
"Hey dude, me and Tre are going to go get some things at the store." Mike informed me. His voice was a little unsure of things.
"Ok, alright." I said a little suspiciously. It seemed like they were avoiding me or something. "Wait guys!"
"Yeah?" Tre asked turning to face me.
"can I come?" I asked him.
"Well. Me and Tre we were goi--" Mike interrupted but then got interrupted by Tre stomping on his foot.
"Sure you can come." Tre told me and held out his arm for me to go in front of him. I stepped in front of him and pulled open the door to the garage. I pulled open the door to the backseat of Mike's car hopped in. Mike gave Tre the evil eye but Tre shrugged it off and sat down in the passengers seat.
Mike's point of view.
I don't know why I didn't want Billie Joe to come with us. It just seemed better if he stayed back at home.
I pulled into an empty parking space and we all hopped out of the car. I was walking very slowly behind Tre and Billie Joe, listening to them talk. I was dazed as I followed them into the store. I was trailing behind them the rest of the time too.
When I actually realized where we were, it was because Tre was jumping up and down and shouting 'CEREAL!'. We were in the cereal isle and Tre was going crazy. While he was doing this, and while Billie Joe was trying to hold him down, a girl walked by. Not just any girl, it was a girl who looked just like Mackenzie.
Billie Joe suddenly dropped Tre and stared as she walked away. Then out of nowhere, he hunched over. I was watching him so I fast up to him fast and caught him before he hit the ground.
"Billie Joe are you okay?" Tre yelled as he rushed over to his other side.
"Ya.. I think... I.. Have a headache now though... " Billie Joe mumbled out through grunts of pain.
Tre was motioning something at me. I couldn't fully understand him, but I think it was something like, 'Was that the girl?!?!'. When he did I glared at him and motioned for him to keep his mouth shut.
We got Billie Joe home as fast as we could. We helped him get up the stairs and into his bed and lie down. Just as I was leaving, Billie Joe started to talk.
"Mike... . Hey, Mike... .." Billie Joe began.
"Ya, Billie Joe?" I spoke softly to him.
"Mike.. Can you tell me a story?" Billie Joe asked me.
"Uh... ya.. Sure, Billie Joe." So, I sat down at the edge of his bed to tell Billie Joe a story before he went to sleep.
"Ok, well, this one time, there was this guy in a band. He played guitar, and one day he needed a new guitar, sooo, he went to go buy one at this local guitar shop.
