Whatsername, chapter 18
November had past and it was now December. Adrienne got a little bigger and now everyone was buying gifts for the baby. Everyone was still very happy, too.
On Sunday, December 4th, the Armstrongs took a trip to the grocery store. In the check-out line, Adrienne picked up her favorite magazine, People. The cashier rang everything up and Billie payed. They walked to the car, put everything in the trunk, and drove home.
Adrienne and Billie were putting the food and everything away and the boys were playing upstairs in their rooms. Adrienne set the magazine on the island in the kitchen and walked out. Billie walked over to it and picked it up. He occasionally read the magazine, just to get a good laugh. He didn't like celebrities and tried to stay out of the photos in the magazines but this time, he didn't do so well. Opening it to the page with the paparazzi photos, he saw one of him and Juliet in the store with the clothes and the knicknacks. It was a picture he wouldn't want anyone to see...a picture of the two kissing. Billie gasped and brought his hand to his mouth. Adrienne couln't see it, not yet. He put the magazine in his guitar room and walked back into the kitchen. Now he was in deep shit. He needed to tell Adrienne, so hiding it was the best thing to do at the time. Billie Joe was going to tell her the next day, when Joey and Jakob would be at school. He didn't want them to be there to see everything.

The next day, the family sat at the table for breakfast. Billie didn't talk much because most of the time he was rehearsing how he was going to tell Adrienne what he had been up to. The school bus arrived on time and the boys left.
At 12:00, Billie decided it was time to tell Adrienne his secret. They sat at the table in the kitchen.
"I'm sorry Adrienne," said Billie.
"For what? You didn't do anything wrong."
"No, I did something very wrong."
"Well, what was it?" Billie looked at her and his eyes started to get teary. He got up out of his seat.
"I cheated on you Adrienne!" Billie shouted because he wanted to get it off of his chest. He didn't expect her to forgive him then or at all but he also didn't expect dishes to be thrown.
"What? With who?," asked Adrienne as she now stood up. He didn't answer.
"Dammit Billie! I asked you a question!"
"Juliet!" She bursted into tears.
"You asshole! I knew it!" Adrienne looked over to the sink and saw a plate. She grabbed it and waited for Billie to say something.
"Honey.."
"Don't 'Honey' me! You deserve this!," shouted Adrienne. She threw the plate and he dodged it, making it hit the wall behind him. She grabbed a few more dishes and threw those but only a glass cup hit his leg. That didn't break until it hit the floor.
"Get out!," shouted Adrienne. He didn't budge.
"Get Out! Get out now!," she said pushing him to the door. Quickly opening it, she shoved him outside. Adrienne slammed the door shut. Billie got up off of the grass and walked to his Fairlane. He was suprised he had his keys in his pocket. Unsure where he was going, he just drove around town for a while. He thought about going to Juliet's, but that wouldn't make anything much better. He decided he would go to Mike's because that was who he talked to when he was in deep shit. He parked his car in front of his house and walked up to the door. The door swung open and Mike poked his head outside.
"Hey, Billie. Wha-whats wrong?," asked Mike.
"I need to talk to someone. Is it okay if I come in?"
"Sure," said Mike. He knew Billie would talk to him about whatever was bugging him, soon. Opening the door, Mike welcomed Billie inside. They walked into the kitchen and Mike pulled out two Budwiesers.
"Can you drink one of these now?," joked Mike. He could tell Billie needed one.
"Yah"
Billie explained everything that happened and of course, remembering he told Billie not to screw around, Mike wasn't too happy. Billie didn't bring any clothes with him so he was going to head to the mall the next day. Mike gave him a pillow and blanket to set up on the couch. Mike went to bed in his room and Billie was on the couch, wide awake.
"What the hell have I done?"
