Unexplainable, chapter 1
Jessica pulled into her friend Sarah's driveway and got out in a hurry. She was so thankful for a friend like Sarah willing to take her in at a time like this. Jessica's family was so fucked up it made her even more fucked up, she just couldn't take it anymore. First of all her parents never gave a damn where she was or what she was doing. All they worried about were grades. God forbid she got a B, she'd get whipped. Her brother was a drug addict, so addicted he had to enter rehab.
Jessica rang her best friend's doorbell. Sarah answered " Hey hun, just come on in and make yourself at home." Sarah always made her feel her best when she was at her worst. Jessica followed Sarah to the spare bedroom. She passed by the living room and couldn't help but notice a guy with vibrant green eyes.
" Hey." said the green eyed guy. " You must be Sarah's friend, Jessica, she's told me a lot about you." said green eyes as Sarah drew close to him and stood beside him with one hand on his chest. Jess never knew her best friend wasn't single. "Yeah we've been great friends all our lives." Jessica said with a fake smile. "Jess this is my fiancé Billie Joe." said Sarah " Aw you guys look cute together!" "Well nice meetin' you, I'll see you around, I just have to unpack my stuff." Jessica said tugging Sarah's arm towards the spare room.
" Wow, we've been friends all our lives, we really have, that's why you've never told me about your new boyfriend!" Jessica said with jealousy.
" Why should I need to tell you? For once I'm happy and settled with someone." said Sarah raisng her eyebrows.
" Why is this such a big deal for you Jess?"
"Because... "
"Because what!"
"Because he's so freaken hott, cute, looks pretty smart, sweet, and, and... "
"And what?"
"I never met a guy in my life that perfect lookin, I always get assholes, and... "
" Get to the fucken point please!"
"I WANT HIM!"
Jessica was practically in tears. "Ya know what, just, just get some sleep! You're grouchy and tired." Sarah said while closing the bedroom door. Jessica could not fall asleep. Sarah's giggling with Billie Joe made her noxious. For the first time in her life she was jealous of her best friend.

The next morning Jessica was the first one up, so she could eat breakfast before everyone else. If Billie was still there she didn't want to have breakfast with the two of them. She imagined them feeding each other like babies. She shook that image out of her mind and concentrated on finding the toaster. " Good morning." said Billie Joe walking in the kitchen.
"How was your first night?"
"Uh... it was good, it was good."
"Lemme guess you're looking for the toaster?"
"Uh... ya."
"Right in that cabinet, Sarah keeps her crap in the weirdest places!"
"I heard that!" said Sarah walking in. Sarah put her lips to Billie's cheek and gave him a 'Good morning' peck. They looked so happy, Jessica decided to let all her jealousy go. For once her best friend was really happy. All Sarah's life Sarah had been used and neglected.

Jessica sat on her bed and played some old Ramones tunes on her Stratocaster. Billie Joe walked by her room and heard the familiar tune.
"You like the Ramones?"
"Yeah."
"Cool, hey, you play really well."
"Thanks."
"I play too, I got the same strat. as you just blue."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I'm in a band."
"Called... ?"
"Green Day, I'm hoping to get big someday, 'cause if I don't I'm screwed."
"Why?"
"I dropped out of school, I won't be able to get another decent job."
" Oh, sorry. Hey, at least your rents aren't so tight assed about school!"
"Well, my mom was a little disappointed that I didn't finish high school, my dad died, and my step-dad couldn't give a fuck about me or any of my siblings, just as long as he could fuck my mom every night."
"Sorry."
"It's k, besides I'm happy right now."
Jessica and Billie Joe talked for hours on end. Jessica really liked this rebellious guy. She was so glad she got to know him. In a way, he totally took her breath away!

"We're totally fucking over!" said the wailing Sarah Harpord. "His band is like the main thing right now!"
"Well Sarah, you got to understand he needs this job really badly!" said Jess.
"What the fuck do you know about him!"
"Well I know lots, I talk to people too you know!" said Jessica extremely ticked off by Sarah's cutting remark.
Sarah and Billie Joe broke up that day after just one phone call. Jessica decided to take a break from Sarah's whining and went to see Green Day play live at some bar.
They were great. After the concert Billie Joe caught a glimpse of a girl he recognized outside the bar.
"Jess!" said Billie Joe waving her over.
"Hey, and great show by the way!"
"Thanks."
"Oh and umm sorry 'bout the breakup"
"Uh, don't worry about it."
Billie Joe and Jess looked into each other's eyes for a moment. Jessica turned her head, she just couldn't hit on her best friends ex. But she looked up again, his beautiful eyes were so mesmerizing she came closer to his face. They both shared a kiss. Sarah happened to be walking down the sidewalk with groceries in hand. What she saw made her drop all her bags. Jessica turned around to see her best friend's sad eyes.
"I can explain." said Jessica.
"What's there to explain? The fact that you betrayed our friendship!"
