Burning Out, chapter 3
She smiled and blushed as he played with her hair, and kept kissing her on the cheek. They'd been there for over three hours and Kate had lost track of time.
" Oh my god! It's twelve o'clock, my mom's gonna kill me!" she got up in a panic and almost tripped over herself, but Billie got up just in time to catch her.
" But I don't want you to leave," Billie Joe whispered into her ear, " I'm really enjoying myself." He gave her a cheeky grin and said " Will you stay the night? We don't have to do anything if you don't want us to." He suddenly went all bashful and stared at the floor, scuffing at the carpet with his feet.
" You mind if I use your phone? I gotta call my mom, to tell her I'm staying at Monica's, then I gotta phone Monica." Kate said with a sweet smile on her face.
" Yeah sure, but don't be long, I can't wait!"
Kate walked into the hall and called her mom's cell phone, " Hey mom, you mind if I stay at Monica's tonight, it's just she's got all these great movies and- Yeah I know it's late but we lost track of time- Ok, I'll be back about three tomorrow, ok?- No, it's cool, she says I can borrow some of her nightwear- Ok, see you tomorrow." Billie was amazed at how easily she could lie to her own mother, which made him wonder what kinds of trouble she could get into.
" Hey Monica, it's me- Yeah me, you know, Kate?- I need a huge favor, it's just that I told my mom I'm staying at yours- Yeah I know I'm not, let me finish. Anyway, I'm actually staying with this really cute guy called Billie, so if my mom rings, could you cover for me?-Yeah thanks so much, you're a lifesaver."
Billie wrapped his arms round her and kissed her on the lips. His lips were so soft, Kate thought as he gently pulled away. They sat back down on the couch, and they kissed again, but this time, it was deeper. Billie gently slid his tongue into her mouth, and pulled Kate closer to him. They were making out none-stop for ten minutes, and when they pulled away, they looked into each other's eyes, and whispered "Wow!" at the same time. Kate was the first to speak.
"Erm... I guess I'll be sleeping on the couch then." There was partly a hint hint ' I wanna sleep next to you' in what she said.
"Well, you can if you like," Billie replied " But you can sleep in my room with me, if you'd prefer," he started to blush again, and looked around the room.
"You know what," Kate said cheekily, "I'd love to."
