The months passed and so had Christmas which Billie Joe and Maria had spent together and then on news years Green Day played a show in Billie Joe's garage, which close friends were invited but as it turns out a free show by Green Day can include a few more then friends to show up and it especially since their very first EP had came out and now everyone seemed to want a piece of Green Day and 1,000 Hours', and now time seemed to fly by even faster because it was Billie Joe's 17th birthday and like all of his birthdays over the recent years it involved doing nothing, getting presents and a cake from his family then spending his evening going to Gilman and then going to someone's else's house for a party and getting wasted and high and today would be no different. The night before Billie Joe had snuck Maria in through his window, so as soon as he woke up he was greeted with a
"Happy Birthday" she whispered when he his eyes fluttered open
"Thanks" he yawned back and Maria gently kissed him on the cheek "That's all I get?" he whispered in a mock hurt way, she giggled and Billie Joe flipped himself over so he was on top of Maria "Happy birthday to me" he smiled devilishly and kissed her down her neck. They heard a creak near the door which Billie Joe quickly flipped back off Maria and she threw the blankets off and ran to Billie Joe's wardrobe "Nice ass" he smirked as she climbed into the wardrobe and closed the door
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!" sung Ollie as she walked into Billie Joe's room with a wrapped up package in her hands, she was followed by to Billie Joe's surprise Anna, Holly and David, this made Billie Joe smile even more
"I haven't seen you guys in ages!" he beamed almost jumping out of bed to hug them; luckily he remembered he didn't have any clothes.
"We wouldn't miss our littlest bro's 17th!" laughed Anna, and Ollie walked over to her youngest son and kissed his forehead
"Happy birthday" and she handed him the present. In a mess of colored paper it was off
"Thanks mum, you didn't have to" he smiled
"Nonsense! Its your birthday, you only get one day to turn 17 ya know?"
"Wow mum! You went all out! 8 no - 10 new picks, a new lead and a brand new guitar strap!"
"That's not all, little one" smiled Ollie
"No its not" smiled David handing him another present, Billie Joe ripped the wrapping off even quicker

"Cool! The new Operation Ivy EP!" Billie Joe gasped "You shouldn't have! Seriously this one was expensive!"
"Yeah... But I saw you eyeing it off for a while so... "
"There's more little bro" smiled Holly
"Cool!" smiled Billie Joe, who was sitting with his presents scatted around him
"Here ya go" and she passed him a envelop
"Money, thanks Hol, well thanks you guys so friggin much! This year's stash is hell good!" smiled Billie Joe
"Your welcome little guy" smirked David messing up Billie Joe'shair and then walking out of Billie Joe's room
"Yep, happy birthday again Bill" smiled Holly
"So what's for breakfast mum?" asked Anna leaving Billie Joe's room following Holly
"Ill be back in a second birthday boy" smiled Ollie closing the door behind herself as she left. As soon as the door closed Maria climbed out of Billie Joe's wardrobe
"She gone?", he nodded "coolness" she sighed pulling her jeans on "that was pretty close though"
