1988, chapter 25
Even though with the amount of alcohol threw his system he knew he shouldn't be driving but fuck - if he was to get to talk to Maria alone he would just break one little law. No biggie.
Maria sat in the very same seat as she did almost everyday all those months ago. It was nice to be in such a familiar place, but strange at the same time.
"The car is still the same" Maria smiled as Billie stuck the key into the ignition
"No..... Its officially mine now. Mom gave it to me cause Anna finally moved out so its just me and mom now. Yeah Brad left. Stupid fucker, I wish I kicked his ass"
"Ohhh..... Cool....."
"Yep".
Billie turned the corner and the sunrise hit them straight in the face
"Its so pretty"
"What? You... " he mumbled
"Huh?"
"What is pretty?"
"The sunrise"

Another awkward silence fell upon them. The morning fresh crisp air was now flowing threw the gaps of the car windows making Maria shiver a little and with one hand Billie fiddled around the back seat for a jacket. He found one and draped it across her
"Thanks"
"Your welcome".
"Billie?"
"Yeah"
"Uhh I don't wanna go home straight away anymore"
"You don't?"
"No.... We have to talk....."
"Yeah I know"
"The garage?"
"Nah... That's Mike's room now"
"Oh"
"Yeah... My room?"
"Sure".
Billie and Maria soon arrived at the Armstrong house and Billie assured Maria that Ollie was out that night and even though it was morning she probably still was out.
They snuck in but not like they did 9 months ago. Maria stood stand-offish to Billie as they walked to his room. Billie was right - Ollie was out.
The pair sat down on Billie's bed and basically refused to look at each other. Maria sighed and Billie coughed before the first word was spoken.
"Maria...?
"Yes Billie?"
"Didn't you want to talk?"
"Didn't you?"
"Yeah"
"Well talk then Billie"
"Fine. Give me another chance"
"Oh my god... "
"I-I still love you... What were you going to say?"
"It doesn't matter now".
She pushed Billie back onto the bed and lightly kissed him. Their legs became entwined and Billie moved his hands threw her now bleached blonde hair
"Mmmmmmmm........" he moaned. He was right. She did still feel this way about him.
Maria knew she shouldn't be doing this. It wasn't fair on Jason or Billie. Sure Jason knew where she was soon to go but Billie didn't. Jason also knew she still had feelings about Billie, he had even admitted that he still had feelings for his ex-girlfriend Maggie so its not like she was really cheating on him. Their relationship was more for convience.
"Oh god Maria..... You forgive me?"
"Shuttup! Of course I do".
The sheets as they say 'danced that night' well Morning as it would be now.
