Tre's Drum Lessons, chapter 11
RECAP
"Oh yeah.." the robber says, and points the gun at Tre. He pulls the trigger, and at that moment, I jump in front of Tre.
The bullet drives into my chest and I fall to the ground. At that moment, the police come raiding in and shoot the robber dead.

**TRE'S POV**
I just stand there, holding Danni in my arms. She slowly manages to whisper, "I love you, Tre Cool"
"I love you too..." I whisper. "Don't die". And then her eyes shut. She has blood all over her shirt and all on my hands. "Please, DONT DIE!" I scream.
The police come over to try and calm me down. It wasn't working. The ambulance arrive, and tell me that she's not dead, but she's in a critical state and needs to undergo surgery.
"Anything, just dont let her die," I murmur.
"We'll do the best we can," said the ambulance guy.
I call up Billie Joe.
"What's wrong Tre, calm down man!" says Billie Joe.
"Danni's been shot, we're at the hopital, she's alive but she's in a critical state!" I exclaim, crying my eyes out. "It's all my fault!" I yell.
"No it isn't, look we're coming to the hospital now, she'll be alright.." said Billie Joe.
I hang up the phone and the nurse comes out of the surgery room.
"Is she okay??!" I exclaim, jumping out of my seat.
"Well, she's very lucky, the bullet missed her heart by 5 centimetres, but.."
"What?" I ask.
"She's in a coma." said the nurse, in a sad tone.
"No, she can't be..no, oh God, no," said Tre. He buried his face into his hands and cried.
"Can I go in and see her?" asked Tre.
"Are you her father?" she asks.
"Uhh.. I'm her boyfriend," I mumble. The nurse looks at me weirdly, and says, "Ok, you can go in."
I walk into the cold hospital room, and see Danni in the bed, with tubes connected to her arms and nose, and hear the beep of the heart monitor.
I sit next to her and take her hand. It's so cold. It's hard to see her like this..she is usually bubbly and happy all the time. But to see her like this, it's like it's not her.
"Danni, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. If I hadn't suggested the bush drive, none of this would've happened," I manage to say through my tears, "I love you so much, please wake up."
..Nothing.
Everyone arrives at the hospital, and are all shocked. Erin is bawling her eyes out on Mike's shoulder, Nat and Ash are trying to talk to Danni, and Billie Joe's trying to calm me down.
"Dude, this isn't anybody's fault, stop beating yourself up. Danni's strong, she'll pull through it..especially for you," said Billie Joe.
"I hope so." I mumble.
***2 weeks later***
***BILLIE JOE'S POV***
I'm sitting by Danni's bed in the hospital room. Ash went with Tre and everyone else to get a coffee.
Danni's still in a coma. I haven't spoken to her in a while, and I miss her Tre-like antics.
"Danni...please wake up soon..we all miss you...especially Tre," I say.
"He's not eating, not sleeping, hardly talking....I hear him crying from his bed at night. He loves you more than the world and really wants you home. Please wake up...for Tre," I whisper the last bit.
***TRES POV***
I get back from the hospital cafe, and I'm sitting by Danni's bed; she's still in a coma. The nurse said that if she doesn't wake up in two weeks, that she never will. I won't give up hope. I love her too much. I've been coming here everyday for 2 weeks, just to hold her hand and talk to her.
Although at home Billie Joe, Mike, Erin, Nat and Ash are there, I still feel alone. I hate going to bed and Danni not being there...I can't sleep, and I feel so cold. I can't handle this anymore...if she dies so will I.
"Danni, I miss you so much...I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you...please wake up," I whisper. A tear rolls off my face and lands on Danni's cheek.
Suddenly, I feel her finger twitch. I look down at her hands...maybe I was imagining. But then they twitch again.
"Danni....Danni are you awake?" I ask her. Her eyes slowly start to open.
"DANNI!" I scream.
"Where am I, what happened?" she mumbles.
"It doesn't matter, what does matter is that you're ok!" I exclaim.
I kiss and hug her... I'm just so happy that she's awake.
"I love you..." I whispered.
"I love you too, Tre," she whispered back.
"I thought I lost you," I said.
"I told you, not even death could bring us apart..." she said.
It's so good to see her smile again. I call the nurse and she does a quick check up on her.
"She's alright!" says the nurse, "You can go home tonight."
"Thank God!" said Billie.
Ash, Erin and Nat were chatting away to Danni about how I was on the verge of a nervous break down, and how much I missed her.
Mike and Billie Joe were talking to me.
"It's great to have you back, Tre," said Mike.
"Yeah, we were so worried about ya," said Billie Joe. "You were getting really sick...you wouldn't eat or talk or nothing... you were a WHOLE different person!"
"Yeah, well, I almost lost the love of my life," I said.
**DANNIS POV**
I'm so glad to be back home. We're all sitting around watching The Simpsons. I'm sitting in Tre's lap, and Ash and Nat are with Billie Joe, and Erin is sitting on Mike's lap...Hmmm, what's been going on since I was in a coma, ey?
Tre starts kissing my neck.
"I will never let you go," said Tre.
"Oh yeah?" I laugh, and start tickling Tre. He's giggling like a little girl. Then we all start tickling each other. Mike throws a pillow at Billie Joe, and Mike returns it, but hits Ash. Then she throws it back...basically, we start pillow fighting.
10 minutes later, we order pizza for dinner. Were all eating, and then Mike says...
"I have to announce something to you all..." he and Erin grin at each other.
