Tre's Drum Lessons, chapter 15
RECAP
"What do you have planned?" I ask.
"You'll see, when we're in Kansas. Billie and Mike are helping me organize it. You're going to be very excited, I can assure you." He said.
I hugged and kissed him. "Oh, really?" I ask.
I wonder what he has planned?...

We arrive in California. A limo is waiting at the doors of the airport. As we walk to the exit, people are staring and whispering to each other. You can see the disgust in their eyes. They obviously remember seeing us in the newspapers, but this time they're focusing on Erin and Mike. It doesn't seem to bother them, and it doesn't bother Tre and me either. They can say all they like but they can't change how we feel about each other.
We hop into the limo.
"Fancy!" says Ash.
"So whose house we going to first?" I ask.
"Uhh...Mike's first." said Billie.
"Ok... Danni, where are we staying?" asked Nat.
"I have no idea." I replied.
"You's can stay with me" said Tre.
"No, no, you have to spend time with Frankito. We'll check into a hotel." I insisted.
"Are you sure? Because I have lots of spare beds." said Tre.
"Nah thanks any way, but you got to be with little Frank as well... " I said.
"Ok then if you're sure... it's only for one day any who." Tre added.
"Cool. We can explore the sights. Were going to have fun, aren't we girlies?" I laugh.
They hate it when I call them 'girlies'. I only say it because it pisses them off and I like doing that.
The girls look at me bluntly as if to say 'fuck you.' I just smile.
We arrive at Mike's house and no-one is there yet.
"Anastasia hasn't dropped off Estelle yet. We can have coffee until then!" declared Mike, grabbing Erin's wrist and pulling her to the door.
"COFFEE! Scoooore!" she yelled. Erin loves coffee, too. Very much so.
We all go inside and Mike starts making coffee. Erin is standing with him, talking to him.
"I can't wait to meet your little girl. She'd be lucky if she looks anything like you." Said Erin.
"Aww you're sweet. I can't wait to introduce you to her. She's going to adore you." He said. He put his arm around her waist, and he kissed her.
"We haven't really gone out yet, just ourselves. How about we go out the night before the tour. Just the two of us. Maybe dinner and walk on the beach?" he asked, smiling at her.
"That would be great." Said Erin, and kissed him.
"Hurry up with that coffee!" exclaimed Tre.
"Yeah, it's coming!" said Mike "Just wait!".
Everyone's sitting around drinking coffee and talking when the doorbell rings.
"Coming!" yells Mike.
He opens the door and there stands a little girl, with curly brown hair. She is so cute.
"Oh hey Hero!" exclaims Mike, picking her up and hugging her tight. Hero is the nickname Mike has for his daughter, Estelle.
"Hi Daddy" She says.
"Where's mommy?" asks Mike.
"In the car" she answered. Mike poked his head out the door. He saw a black car, and he waved. The horn beeped and the car drove off. He closed the door and introduced Estelle to us.
"Hero, this is Danni, Nat, Ash and my special friend, Erin."
"Hello!" she exclaimed, and hugged all of us.
"Hey Estelle!" we answered.
***5 minutes later***
"Ok, we're going to head off." Said Billie.
"Ok, see you guys tomorrow night." Said Mike. "And see you soon my love" he said, and kissed Erin goodbye.
"Oh get a rooooom!" yelled Tre. Mike gave Erin a kiss and then we were off.
"Next is my house!" exclaimed Billie happily. You could tell that he was excited to see Adi and his kids again. He's a real family guy.
We arrive at Billie's house. It's a massive double story rendered white. It's so gorgeous.
We all get out of the car and Billie opens the door. His kids come running at him and nearly knock him down.
"Daddy! Daddy!" they yelled. "Mommy, Daddy's home!" yelled Joey.
Adi comes round the corner and sees Billie. Her face lights up with joy as she runs up to him and hugs him tight.
"I've missed you so much! I'm so glad you're back." she said.
"I've missed you too, Adi." He said and gave her a kiss. "And my little rocker boys, I've missed you too. Have you been good for mommy?" he asked, raising one eyebrow.
"Yeeees!" the boys answered, with a cheeky smile on their faces.
We're introduced to Adi, and then we decide to leave.
"We have to go, but we'll see ya tomorrow night, okay?" said Tre.
"Yep... See ya'z" said Billie.
"Bye, nice meeting you." Said Adi.
"Nice meeting you, too. Bye." We said and then went back into the car. Its just Tre, Erin, Nat, Ash and I now.
"So where to now?" I ask. "How about we find a hotel?"
"You could stay at the place where you went when you won the competition, Mansion hotel." Suggested Tre.
"Ok, but how will we pay for it?" I asked.
"I'll pay, what else you think. It's on me!" said Tre.
"Thanks." We answered. We arrived at the hotel and booked ourselves in.
"Enjoy your stay." Said the hostess.
We went up the elevator and went into our room. The girls had the same reaction I had when I first went here. Tre gives me a kiss goodbye and he was off.
"See ya tomorrow night." He said.
"See ya." We said. We un-packed our bags and just talked all night.
***THE NEXT DAY***
We wake up and have breakfast.
"So, we have the whole day to explore California. What do you want to do?" I asked.
"Lets go to the beach, then walk around the shops." suggested Nat.
"Yeah, cool!" exclaimed Erin.
"One problem... transportation." said Ash.
"Good point... umm... how about we hire like an electric scooter. That would be fun." I said.
"YEAH!" exclaimed Ash very excited now.
I grab the Yellow Pages directory and flick through. I find a hiring place and we go for a walk there. We hire a scooter each, and start zooming off down the street.
"WEEE HOOO!" screams Ash, the wind in her hair. We laugh and find a line of shops.
We park our scooters and walk thru the shops. So many clothes. None of us buy anything, so we decide to go for a ride to the beach. We buy some fish and chips and find a bench and eat. We ride back to the hiring place, return the scooters, and walk back to the hotel. I open the hotel door, walk in and plunk myself on the couch.
"Ahh... I'm so tired." I say.
"Me too." Says Erin. Her phone rings. "Its Mike!" she declares, and answers her phone.
"Hello... hey... I'm good, how are you...awesome... no I haven't forgotten... umm how about 7.30pm...ok are you going to pick me up from the hotel...ok... love you too... bye." she hung up the phone.
"Yes! Scoooore! Our date is 7.30 tonight!" she exclaimed. She is smiling ear to ear.
"Aw...I told you that you would find the right guy." I said.
Its 7.30 and Erin had been getting ready. The door bell rings.
"Hello?!" we hear Mike say.
"Coming, just a minute!" yelled Erin. She ran to the door and opened it. She was wearing a black dress with a rose embroidered into the middle. Mikes jaw dropped.
"Wow, you look beautiful!" he said. He was wearing a black pin stripe suit with a blue tie.
"Thanks... you look great as well." Replied Erin.
"Thanks... lets go... get ready for the best night of your life." He said.
"Any night with you is the best." Laughed Erin, and they left, arm in arm.
"What do you have planned?" I ask.
