No Home, No Family, chapter 1
The mid-aged girl stood out in the rain, the drops fell from her smooth milk-white skin. The pressure sleeked down her dark black hair. Her lace like skirt stuck to her legs, same went for her black shirt with flames around the bottom. Her dark brown eyes closed. "I've been kicked out of my own home... Now I have no home, no family." She said softly to herself. She looked around as she wiped the smeared mascara from her face. She sat down on a bench near by and looked to her feet. She looked up quickly from laughing in a distance. She hid her head halfway behind the bench and waited. As the figures got into view and became less of a blur, she noticed who it was; Green Day.
Tre turned to Billie and mike. "I think we're being watched." Billie nodded. She blinked as they approached her and ducked down quickly when Mike raised his brow to her. Billie walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. She looked up quickly and her eyes widen a bit. "What are you doing?" He asked with a puzzled expression on his face. She slowly sat up. "I'm just sitting here... .?" She said. "Okay... Who are you?" Tre asked. "I'm Lyn." She said looking to Tre. "What are you doing here anyway?" Asked Lyn. "Hey no one's out. It really beats the crowd." Mike said. "I see."
"Lyn why are you out here anyway? You're soaked."
"... "
"Okay, I didn't need an answer anyway."
"Sorry... I... I... I don't have a home right now." She said looking to her feet. "No home?" Tre repeted. "What to do you mean, Lyn?" Billie asked with suspicion. "Considering I'm nineteen, I couldn't afford rent at my home so my dad kicked me out."
"What about you're mom?" Tre asked.
"She died of AIDS when I was four."
"That's Terrible." Mike said.
"It's really no big deal."
Billie remained silent. He knows what it's like to lose a parent at a young age. He lost his father when he was ten, but four?
"You can stay with us." Billie offered. "You mean it?" She asked in disbelief. Billie nodded. "Sure."
"I'll clean the house and pay rent." She said in a bit of panic.
"No need to do anything like that."
"Are you sure?" She said as her eyes soften. "Really now, No need."
"Fine"
Tre and Mike pulled Billie off to the side. "Billie! What the hell where you thinking? Tre and I didn't agree to any of this!" Mike said with anger in his voice. Tre nodded.
"Oh come on, what's the worst that can happen?"
"She's a girl and we're Green Day!"
"So... "
"So! We can't keep her like a dog!" Tre said.
Billie looked down, Mike and Tre where right. He wanted to help, really he did, but what could he do?
