Love Is Just Too Much, chapter 10
(8.30 AM - Friday)
-nobody's POV-
(skipped one day, I know.)
Billie decided to send Ashleigh off to school since it was the last day. They arrived at Ashleigh's school and both of them get out of the car. The both of them leaned against Billie's car and hugging each other.
"I don't wanna go to school." Ashleigh whispered against Billie's ears. "I hate school."
Billie pulled her away and looked at her. "You're here already. I mean, it's the last day, remember?" Billie said.
"Do you want me to go to school?" Ashleigh asked him with her puppy eyes.
Billie melted inside. "God, Ash, don't do that face. You know I cant resist you." He said as he pulled her close and kissed her hard. After a couple of minutes, they pulled away again. "C'mon, Ash. It's the last day. You'll be free after this. Just go in, kick some teacher's ass and come back home free." He said. "Then, you and I can celebrate the end of school. For you." Billie said.
Ashleigh sighed. "Fine. I'll go." Ashleigh said. She pulled Billie close and kissed him one last time. "I love you." She whispered.
Billie hugged her tight and nuzzled her neck. "I love ya too." He whispered back.
Ashleigh pulled away and walked towards the school pretending nothing had happened.
Little did she know that some girls from her school are watching.
(8.45 AM)
-ashleigh's POV-
"Hey. What's your name?" A girl I know who was studying in my school said to me on the way to enter the school. I know her by the name of Katie. She had her friend, Cammie by her side all the time. That's what I know about her.
Cammie flipped her blonde hair over her shoulders. "It's Ashleigh, right?" She asked me with her slutty eyes.
I looked at them like I don't give a damn about them. "Yeah." I replied.
Katie looked at me from up and down. "Tell me, is that who I think it is?" Katie asked me.
"Yeah, the guy you've been smooching and hugging with all the time before now." Cammie said. "Is it Billie Joe Armstrong? That guy from Green Day? The band that usually-"
"Play a gig in underground clubs..Yeah, I know." I said cutting her short. "Yeah, it was him. Why?"
Cammie looked at me, annoyed. "How did you two get together?"
"Yeah, how come he's with you and not me?" Katie asked me, as she twirl her blondish hair on her finger.
"And how come he looks out for freakish girls like you?"
This was getting on my nerves.
"Is he coming for the prom with you?"
I rolled my eyes at them and said nothing. I walked away, completely ignoring them.
"Hey! We're not finished yet!"
Later on that day, I saw Cory talking to a girl in the cafeteria. They were talking about the prom. I decided not to disturb them, and I sat alone on the table away from Cory and the girl. Then, as if, Cory noticed me, he walked up to me with the girl. "Hey, Ash." Cory said. I looked up at him and smiled weakly. "Um, this is Haylie."
I looked at the girl standing beside him and smiled weakly again. "Hello." She greeted me. I nodded. "So, Ash, is Billie coming? I mean, I heard that you're looking forward for the prom with him." She asked me. I was quite shocked with the question that I didn't even answer her.
"You know, Hayles, I'll catch ya later." Cory said obviously chasing her off. "I'll pick you up tonight?" Haylie nodded and walked away. "She's my date for the prom." Cory announced.
"I can see that."
"Hey, what's the matter?" Cory asked.
I sighed. "Well, for one reason, just because Billie's band is getting popular and popular day by day it doesn't mean I cant date him, right?" I asked him. "I mean, when they saw us kissing, they were all like 'Why did he chose her instead of me?' and all that crap."
Cory gave me the confused look. "Wait. Rewind." He said. "I didn't get a word that you were saying. What's with Green Day getting popular? And who's 'they'?"
"Katie and Cammie the Cult of the Sluts." I said. "I mean, they saw me and Billie kissing and they asked me some of the last questions I want to answer in my life." I explained. "And now, look! Haylie asked me about Billie. Later, the school. And soon, the whole world!"
"Yo, wait. What's the deal?" Cory asked me. "I mean, if you're dating Billie, it's okay, right? I mean, you're a couple now. It doesn't matter what people say. You guys will be together no matter what, right?" He asked me. "Uh, that's what most of the loving couples say to each other. But, anyways, that's supposed to be true. You guys are perfect together."
