Love Is Just Too Much, chapter 4
(11.20 AM)
-nobody's POV-
Ashleigh knocked in front of Billie's apartment door and waited for him to answer the door. Fair enough, several seconds later, Billie opened the door and there was a smile on his face. Ashleigh smiled back.
Billie looked Ashleigh up and down several times taking in the beautiful sight, there in front of him. She was wearing a turtle neck blue shirt with a baggy pants. She's just so beautiful. "Hey." Billie said softly.
"Hi." Ashleigh replied back. "I, uh, can I come in?"
"Yeah." Billie said as he opened the door for her. Billie looked on as Ashleigh took her seat on the sofa. "So, um..." Billie said as he scratched his head. "are you gonna tell me why did you come here?"
Ashleigh couldn't stop looking at him without having the urge of going up to him and kiss him full on his mouth. 'Calm down, Ashleigh. Calm down.' Ashleigh said to herself. "I'm moving out of my parents house." I said. "I guess, I'm gonna live in an apartment."
Billie sat next to her. "Really? Where?"
"Around here." Ashleigh replied. "Money wise, I've asked some from my grandparents." Ashleigh said. "They're gonna give me some money for the first 3 months." Ashleigh explained.
Billie looked at her. "But, what's the problem?"
"Can you help me on searching for an apartment suitable for a 17 year old girl?" Ashleigh asked.
Billie shrugged. "I can do that." He said.
"Okay, so that's settled." Ashleigh said. She was starting to get really uncomfortable.
"Yeah..." Billie whispered and nodded. They, there was an awkward pause. Slowly, Billie took the risk. He slowly leaned forward towards Ashleigh, trying to kiss her. 'This is the only lips I will kiss.' Billie thought to himself when his lips touched Ashleigh's.
Ashleigh loved the way he kisses her. She loved everything about him. Eventually, she dodged the kiss without even letting Billie kiss her back. "I really don't think we should do this." Ashleigh whispered. Billie looked up at her with his sleepy face. "I really don't."
Billie didn't get it. Last night, she slept with him, no questions asked. He thought he had her. But she refusing his kiss? That's just not right to Billie. Billie nodded in defeat. "Sure. So, um, I'll call you if I have the apartments ready? And, uh, what's your budget?"
"Somewhere between 200-300 bucks." Ashleigh replied back. She really wanted him. But she cant. It's the best for the both of them. Or, that's what she thought. "And, I really appreciate it if you can find some apartments under 200 bucks." Ashleigh added.
Billie nodded. "Yeah, sure."
Ashleigh nodded and walked towards the door. She knew what she was doing is wrong, wrong for her to break Billie's heart. But, she cant stop it. This has to be stopped for the both of them. "You have my number, right?"
Billie nodded as he stood at the door.
Ashleigh looked at him. "Bye."
"Bye." Billie replied. Billie looked on as Ashleigh slowly fades away from his sight. 'What have I done?' He asked himself.
Ashleigh walked towards the nearby diner. 'What have I done?' She asked herself.

-Ashleigh's POV-
What the hell is wrong with me? I really liked Billie and now I'm just trying to ignore him?Arghh...
"Hey, Ashleigh!"
I turned around and saw Mike walking towards me in front of the diner. "Hey." I said.
"What are you doing here?" He asked me.
"Isnt it obvious?" I asked him.
Mike laughed a bit and nodded. "Yeah. You're here to grab something to eat." Mike said. "C'mon, it's on me."
I smiled and followed him inside. As usual, I ordered a bowl of salad and coke. Mike paid for our foods and we both walked towards our table near the window. I sit in front of him. I started on my food and tried to forget what had happened.
"So, what are you up to today?" Mike asked.
I shrugged. "Nothing." I said. "I mean, I decided to move out of my parents house. I want to live on my own." I told him.
"That's good. You cant always depend on your parents."
"Espescially when they hated me." I added.
"Why is that so?"
"Well, they're like the normal, clean family. And suddenly, out of nowhere, thye had me as their daughter." I explained. "A red head with green eyes. My accesive eyeliners, black clothes. They think I'm in some cult group or something." I said as I chomped down on my salad.
"Hah, it's normal." Mike said. "Normal for all parents." He said as he took a sip on his drink. "So what happened last night? I mean, I went off to my girlfriend and Tre went off to his drums. What about you and Billie?"
Shit, I thought he wont ask me this. I was just trying to get Billie out of my head. I shrugged. "Nothing happened." I said. "I mean, we walked to his apartment, hang out...that's it."
Mike gave me the 'I-don't-believe-you' look. "C'mon, don't keep anything from me."
I sighed. "What? I was telling you the truth." I lied.
Mike shrugged in defeat. "Fine. But you know what? I will find out sooner or later."
