Love Is Just Too Much, chapter 5

(11.50 PM)
-Billie's POV-
So, it's almost 12 in the morning and I'm still on the internet. I should have better things to do than this. Like what? Well, that's the question that I can't seem to answer.
Okay, fine. I was thinking about Ashleigh a lot. I mean, A LOT. I don't know what I should do. What she said was this is for the both of us, blah blah. I can't seem to figure out what she meant.
Focus on the apartments, B. Focus.
Oh, that's a nice one. I mean, it's 150 bucks a month and that's okay, I guess. It's a couple of blocks away from where I live right now and that's something good. I can see her more often.
I grabbed my cellphone and dialed in Ashleigh's number. I waited for at least 20 seconds before she picked up.
"What?" She said. She sounded sleepy.
"Erm, hey." I said. "Sorry to disturb."
"Billie, hey." She replied. "No, you didn't disturb me. I wasn't sleeping."
I smiled. "Oh, okay." I said. "Well, just to let you know, I have the apartment. It's perfect." I told her. "I mean, that was what it's looked like on the internet."
"Really? Hey, thanks." I heard her saying on the other line.
"It's not a big deal." I said. "Anyways, wanna check it out? Say, tomorrow?"
"Um, yeah, sure. Let me tell my lame parents first. I didn't tell them that I'm moving out."
"Yeah, sure. I'll come over at around... 8 AM." I said. Then, it hit me. I didn't have her address. "Hey, Ash. What's your address?" She gave me her address while I wrote it down on a piece of paper. I placed the paper on top of the table. "Okay, so, I'll be there around 8 AM." She said okay and we both hung up.

(7.30 AM - Sunday)
-Ashleigh's POV-
Yes! I missed him! I missed him so much that I can't wait for meeting him today. Shit, what's the time?
I glanced on my alarm clock and gasped. 7.30 AM?!
I got out of bed and got dressed quickly. I brushed my teeth and ran downstairs to have some breakfast. I saw my mom from the stairs. She's looking at me and gasped. "Ashleigh? You're up?"
I looked at her curiously. "Yeah?"
"You don't wake up that early."
I shrugged. "I need to talk to you." I said. I grabbed an apple and chomped it down.
"Sure." Mom was being pretty friendly today. I mean, she wasn't always like this. She didn't like me. Well, mostly because she's my step mom. Mom took her seat on the kitchen stool and looked at me. "What do you wanna talk about?"
I breathed in. "Okay, don't gasp, don't do anything." I said. "It's just, I want to move out." I said to her. I look directly in her eyes. "I found an apartment and I'm gonna check it out today with a friend." I explained.
"Where is that apartment?" She asked. "Money wise...?"
"A few blocks down." I replied. "about money, I have some 200 - 400 bucks. And Grandpa and Grandma said they gonna cover the first 3 months of me staying in the apartment. So, it's all settled. And no, I don't need anything from you."
Dad walked in just in time to hear me and my mom's conversation.
"What are you guys talking about?"
"She's moving out." Mom informed dad.
"Wow." Dad said. "I didn't know you hated us that much."
I shook my head. Now they're making me feel guilty. "No, dad. I don't hate you guys." I lied.
"Sometimes, yeah. But not always. It's just I need to be myself. Like, alone, you know..."
"Yeah, sure." Dad said.
Then, there's a knock on the door. I turned around. "That must be Billie." I said.
"Who's Billie?" Mom asked.
I brushed her question and looked at dad.
Dad was answering the door. "Yes?" Dad asked.
"Um, hi. Is Ashleigh in?" Billie asked.
"Yes. Why?"
"I'm Ashleigh's friend." Billie said.
"What friend? Where did you meet her?" Dad asked.
Billie shrugged. "I'm just a friend of hers who's trying to be a better friend with helping a friend..."
I slipped in between the two of them quickly. "Okay. Dad, I gotta go now." I said as I grabbed my jacket and head towards my potential apartment with Billie.
