Full Of Rage... Maybe Forever, chapter 1

-Just so you know, Billie Joe is like 13 right now, but don't worry, he will get older-

"And next we will hear from Sheena Michell."
As Billie Joe stood behind the curtain at his middle school, he heard the principle announce the next performer, Sheena. He had been working on his guitar solo for a long time. This would be the first time people would actually hear him play and sing, at the 7th grade school talent show. He didn't care about the people, though. He just wanted to play. He wanted to play so bad, and be excellent, only for his father. It had been three years since his dad had died, and something in him wanted him to play so well, that his father would be the most proud of him he had ever been, even if he wasn't here in person.
But that was just it. He had to win. That would prove that he couldn't get any better. To win, though, he had to beat Sheena. Sheena was a stuck up rich girl (or at least since she was rich, Billie Joe labeled her as stuck up) who unfortunately had the best singing voice in all of the school. Her mom was a volunteer at the church, and was always helping the school functions. Not to mention, her sister, who was a Junior in high school, was known by all of the teachers, so the Michell's reputation went way back. Because of that, Sheena was widely known, and the most popular girl in the Junior High. That and she got the best grades.
It was because of all of that, that Billie Joe hated her. He automatically thought of her as a snob, and just a spoiled brat, even though, she was in fact very nice.
As he waited for her to finish, he listened. Even he, at times, couldn't deny that her voice was amazing. For that, she had every right to be proud. Just like Billie Joe was fully aware of the fact that he was excellent at the guitar.
After she was done performing, the audience gave a huge applause. Billie Joe's heart was beating fast. He wasn't nervous about performing; only winning. Sheena walked off stage, and stopped in front of Billie Joe.
"Good luck, Billie Joe." In his mind, he knew, or at least thought, she was just being a bitch about the fact that she did great.
"Yeah kiss my ass." He said and walked on stage after he was announced. Sheena just stood there with her mouth gaping, not realizing what she had done to make him hate her. She honestly didn't like it when people hated her. She always knew that Billie Joe didn't like her all that well, from past experiences just talking to him. It was from then on, that she decided she would hate him too. She wasn't going to try to be nice to him at all. He didn't deserve it. As she hung out backstage for the rest of the show, in her own mind, she couldn't deny that Billie Joe was quite the musician. Not to mention, had a beautiful voice as well. Regularly, she would have planned to make sure and find him after he was done, and congratulate him. Then she remembered that she decided to hate him. She still held to her word.
At the end of the show, all of the students lined up on stage, and awaited the awards. There was only one given each year. There wasn't a second or third place, just a first.
"And the winner is... ... ... ... ... ... ... .." Billie Joe and everyone else held their breath.
"SHEENA MICHELL!"
Billie Joe fought back tears as he watched Sheena, the girl he hated, accept the trophy that he wished for so bad. The one thing that would represent the fact that his father did the right thing in giving him a guitar. He felt like he had failed.
Once backstage, Sheena decided to give Billie Joe a taste of his own medicine. She worked up her best sarcastic voice, and confronted him.
"You know, Billie Joe, I wasn't going to say this, but it is a real shame you didn't win." And she gave him her best fake sad face.
Billie Joe knew it. He knew that one day she would show him her real side. This was too far, though. Before she could stop him, he gave her a smack across the face, turned around, and walked away.
Sheena held a hand up to her cheek where he had struck, mouth agape, and she knew she shouldn't have done it. She also knew, though, that this would only mean that she would just have to get him back.
Billie Joe went to find Mike, and walk home. When he reached him, his bottom lip was starting to quiver. Great, now he was going to cry. This night just keeps getting better and better.
"Hey, you did great. And even if you didn't win, you know it is just because all of the judges are friends with her parents. You were the best, man."
Billie Joe was looking at his shoe tops while walking, mentally cursing himself for almost crying.
"What's wrong, dude?"
"Nothing. She just... ... ticks me off is all." Mike eyed him carefully, and saw he was on the verge of breaking down.
"Not to make matters worse or anything, but I know you well enough to know it is more than that. What happened backstage?"
"She was just all in my face after I lost... ... and... .. and well I already felt like shit for losing, and I mean, this is the only thing I am really good at, ya know? And, and then I- I just felt like I didn't do my best and well she had to do that and-"
"Dude, you act like you killed someone. What happened?"
He sank down to the pavement, and put his head in his hands. Mike didn't realize he was crying until he looked up at him, with all of the tears running down his face, not threatening to let up.
"I hit her. I- I don't know what happened. Something in me snapped." He took a breath, and continued.
"It-it's just, she has everything I don't. A father, a mother that is always around, unlimited money, and knowing she isn't ever going to let anyone down. And yet, she still gets all the good stuff. Why does she get the reward? Why not someone else for once? Why... ... why not me?"
Mike kneeled down and put his arm around his best friend. He needed it.
"Ya know, I have thought the same thing plenty of times. But when you think about it, she is the biggest bitch in the world. And one day, it is going to come back and kick her in the ass. Heck, I might even be the one to do it."
Billie Joe forced a smile and started to laugh a little.
"Yeah, but you know, she had it comin'. And there is a lot more where that came from. C'mon, let's go home."
"Yeah, I am sick of being the sissy tonight." He stood up and Mike laughed a little.
"Hehe, no comment."
They started walking, and Billie Joe responded with,
"Jerk."

*The Next Day*

It was English class, probably one of the most boring ones in Billie Joe's opinion, and it was one of the many times that he was forced into contact with Sheena. Luckily, though, there was a sub. That was good because every other teacher kept congratulating Sheena every time they saw her. It made Billie Joe sick.
The teacher was calling attendance when she called Sheena.
"Haushinka Michell?" The class started to snicker, and it was just about the only time when Sheena felt like an outcast, and started to sink back in her chair. Billie Joe noticed.
"Present." She responded. Billie Joe smiled, and felt really good. The last time he had heard that name was the first day of school. Since then, she had asked to be called Sheena. Apparently she hated that name. 'Good' Billie Joe thought.
The substitute looked up from the list.
"That is a unique name. What origin is it?"
"Japanese. My mother was adopted by a Japanese couple, and that was her mother's name."
"Oh, I see. Have you been to Japan before?"
Sheena started to relax, because she had a good answer to that question.
"Actually, yes. It is really cool there. I know a little of Japanese, and I have many relatives there. Even though they aren't blood related."
The whole class started chattering, and asking her a bunch of questions, and even the sub didn't mind.
Billie Joe was the only one who didn't move in his seat, and was for once the only one not talking. He put his head down on his desk and sighed. Her embarrassment didn't last long, and she was once again the favorite.
Sheena noticed how Billie Joe was reacting. She then spoke up even louder, to try to make him feel bad.
"We stayed in a huge hotel, in the center of the most beautiful city." Little did she know, she wasn't going to get to make him feel bad for much longer.
