Full Of Rage... Maybe Forever, chapter 7
Billie Joe quietly approached the new girl. She was sitting on the ground, probably because all of the tables filled up with people incredibly fast in the morning. The school had a, hmm how would you say, population problem?
Either way, she had made herself content by sitting on the floor, writing something in a red notebook. She paused only for a second to brush her long caramel hair behind her shoulder. It seemed to be getting in her way an awful lot. But the hair, o yes, the hair. As of right now, it was all Billie Joe could see; she wasn't facing him. But her hair was enough to make him melt, as corny as it sounds.
Billie Joe cleared his throat, and fumbled for some way to put words together in his mind. It was called a uhh, a... . a SENTENCE!! That was it; damn, this girl was really making him nervous for some reason.
"Hey, I'm, uhh, I'm Billie Joe. Are you new, 'cuz I haven't-"
Sheena's eyes snapped shut as she heard a voice. But not just any voice, a voice she could go- well, one very long time- without hearing again. Nevertheless, she had to deal with it, or face it, eventually.
To say Billie Joe was shocked would be, well, all things considered, one large understatement. As Sheena (yeah, it wasn't that hard to figure out) turned around, Billie Joe's mouth fell open quite noticeably. Sheena grinned. Well, that hadn't changed, she still enjoyed messing with Billie Joe; kindly or unkindly.
Billie Joe opened his mouth, but no words came out. What was he supposed to say? Was it his fault that he had no idea who she was? He had no idea. He thought she was just some pretty new- O shit! Did he just think Sheena Mitchell was pretty? Oh no. Now he felt like he was back in junior high. Anywho, back to the situation... TONGUE; MAKE WORDS!!
"Well, hi to you too." She said as she closed her notebook and stood up in front of Billie. Billie's basic "man mind" admitted to the fact, that time had been good to Sheena.
Billie Joe just couldn't do it. He wanted to go sit down and just let a few things work themselves out in his mind.
Sheena stared at him, and laughed, amused at her effect on him.
"Still nothing?" She asked.
Billie Joe tried one more time.
"Sheena?" he finally got out, with his brow furrowed.
Sheena nodded her head, as the bell rang, and she bent over to pick up her books off of the floor.
"Not much on conversation are you? I mean, don't get me wrong, seeing you didn't exactly make me feel all tingly inside either, but I can manage to get some words out. You act like you just found Waldo for the first time."
Billie Joe just smiled a bit, and diverted his stare from her, to just... around.
"Well, I'm going to go to class, but you tell Waldo I said hi." Sheena said as she walked by Billie Joe in one swift movement, and didn't bother to stifle her laughter.
Finally, Billie Joe realized he must have looked like an idiot.
