Adrienne And The Unknown, chapter 1
Billie Joe's POV
"Adie why wake up this early?" I said to her and Joey.
"We're going to check out schools," Adrienne replied. I rolled my eyes and said,
"Whatever you say..." She frowned at me and went out the door.
Adrienne's POV
A tired Joey and I walked into the dark house at 11 pm because of trafic.
"Joey, go upstairs and go to bed..." I said sleepily.
"Mom...Im hungry!" Joey moaned.
"Fine what do you want?" I replied.
"Dinner," he said, yawning.
"Salad?" I offered. He nodded sleepily and sat down at the table. I fixed up some salad for the tired 10 year old.
"Now can we go to bed? I'm tired!" I yawned. He nodded and turned out the lights. We went upstairs and I tucked him into bed. I went into my own bed, and felt a tap on the shoulder.
"Hey, Adie. Someone's in late," I heard Billie Joe say. I kissed him and nodded.
"Joey and I were in some bad traffic. Police everywhere...cars crashed too," I said. He looked at me and nodded.
"When I was coming home from Tre's house that happened. Very scary, Adie..." he said. We went to sleep after talking about it for awhile.
The Next Day, same POV
I slept in later than usual. No wonder, quote Billie Joe. I was very grouchy that day as well.
"Jakob if you dont clean your room, I'm gonna take away your Game Boy and not give it back!" I shouted. I sat down and said sorry as he looked about to cry. I huged him and said to clean his room though. He ran upstairs and cleaned up his room. Joey came downstairs with the newspaper.
"Mom, mom, we have to watch the news!" he said, running to me.
"Now why is my cartoon-ified little boy wanting to watch the news?" I said. He flicked on the news.
"Alien sightings have been reported all over the state of California," Tom Roberts was saying.
"Some people have taken pictures of these strange figures. Last night in Berkeley, a huge traffic jam was caused by 'aliens'." Joey and I looked at each other.
"And now for stock reports."
