A Lucky Bet, chapter 1
"Don't shoot, please!" I said, pleading. Billie looked up at me from the cold rusty floor and moaned. I couldnt belive it! He was going to die!
**flashback**
It was June 3rd and it was my last day of school, I was in my least favorite class, Algebra. I couldnt wait till this hole fag feast was over. Finally the bell rang! I was free! I ran out the classroom door and headed for the exit of this dreaded school. Thank god I was a Senior, so I didnt have to come back here again. As I ran towards the exit, I heard a yell in the distance...
"Meghan Conley! You stop right there!"
I turned around and it was the head principal of the school." Now what is fine lady like you running in the hallways for?" He said with a curious look on his face.
"Well I was just.." But before I could get another word in, he yelled out those words that I heard all my life.
"Detention, Miss Conley."
"Now?" I said in a qiute voice.
"No next year, YES Now!" he said with an annoyed expression.
I walked to the room where I spent most of my time in this school and sat down in a seat close to the window. 20 minutes pasted and I still had to stay for another 20! I looked outside the window and saw all my friends signing yearbooks. I thought to myself,' man what a nice way to spend my last day...'. 10 minutes later everyone was gone and I was all alone, expect for that stupid principal, I mean jeez! I spent most of my time either in here or in his office and I still didnt know his name! Time went by and I had 5 minutes left to go, I looked in my bookbag for something I could do to let the time fly by. I found my cd player and put in my favorite cd, Insominac, by Green Day. I started to sing,
"Ha Ha your Dead and I'm so Happy you were an Asshole!" but without nowing that I was singing a little too loud and the principal herd me.
"You want to make this last longer, Miss Conley?"
"No sir..." I murmmered and slouched down in my chair.
I looked out the classroom window and saw something a little suspicious...It looked like 2 guys fist fighting. I thought, ' ooo this looks interesting.' So I tried to move my desk closer to the window without the the principal knowing. As I got closer I could just managed to make out the faces. One guy was tall, really tall, he had brown hair and a bunch of piercings. The other guy was short, not relly short, but short. He had black spickey hair and wore lots of black, and a red tie.
I thought to myself, ' hmmmm I know someone who looks like that, but who?' I thought and thought, but I couldnt get that danm song out of my head, ' Ha Ha your dead.'....WAIT!...omg it was Billie! omg billie is outside my school, and of course, the first thing that came to mind [or anyones] was to run up to him. But as usaul, theres always somthing to stop me. So I just sat there, I watched him, and He got punched!...Omg he got punched! I had to go save him, but how?! I thought. I got it!
"Mr. ummm...Principal?"
"Yes Meghan?" He said with a grin on his face
"Somone let out the mice in the lab!" I screamed
"What? I'll be right back..now you stay in you seat Miss Conley"
As soon as he left I ran Out the classroom door and headed for the exit of the school. As I ran down the stairs of the front of the school, I ran to where Billie was.
'What could I do to help?' I thought I hide behind Billie's car and jumped out!
"You leave hime alone!"
The tall man gave me the meaniest look you could think of, he walked over to me and pushed me to the ground.
"You stay out of it kid!" he said with an angry voice.
Billie looked at me with a curious and scared look on his face. I couldn't let him get hurt more than he was. I got up and stood inbetween Billie and the man.
"I said, LEAVE HIM ALONE! If you want him, your gonna have to go through me first!" I screamed as loud as I could.
The man backed off and got into his car as he drove away he yelled back from the distance..
"I'll be back Armstrong!"
