A Lucky Bet, chapter 3
"Meghan!" I turned around and it was Billie Joe from behind the gates.
"Hey, What are you doing around here?" He asked with a strange look on his face.
"Oh, I got locked out of my house , so I decided to go for a walk."
Billie Joe opened the gate and walked towards me, and it hit me, why would a famous guy like him be talking to a city girl like me? As he walked closer all I could look at were his eyes, I mean, come on! Everyone likes Billie Joe, its a known fact in this human race! He had to be the most.. as I said earlier...dreamiest guy you'll ever see.
"Well, you mind if I walk with you? It looks like you could use some company." he said nudging my shoulder. All I could say was
"Not at all."
So he closed the gate and we started to walk.We talked about everything, to where we grew up, to our favorite kid of animal. We walked around the hole city it seemed like, cause my legs were tired as hell! It got late and we decided to head home, as we both walked up my crapy old stairs, he gave me a look and a punch on the shoulder and walked back home.
"See yah later, alligator!" he yelled.
"After while, crocodile!" I yelled back.
I knocked on the door and I herd my mom running and opened it.
"Meghan! Where have you been?" She started to scream.
"Well the day you lock the door, I don't bring my key.....So...So I went to Mels."
"Alright, you want dinner? Its cold now, but Its still good."
"No thanks, ma! I'll be up in my room?" I yelled from the stairs.
As I walked up the stairs, all I could think about was the walk me and Billie Joe had, our conversations, and his funny jokes, its like we were becoming friends or something. When I got to my room, I opened my door , walked in and slammed it shut. I jumped onto my bed and looked out my only window. My backyard was like a jungle...and a couple of houses. Then I relized that I saw that neighborhood with the fences all around it, or Billie Joe's neighborhood as I called it now.' Wow those houses are big' I thought to myself. I wondered what It'd be like to move there.
My mom walked upstairs and headed for bed. As soon as she was sound asleep, I thought it would be fun if I went for another walk. So I opened my window and since my garage was right there, I jumped on the garage roof. I could see all of Billie's neighborhood now. But anyways I looked at the ground and jumped. Surprisingly I made it, and walked towards my front gate, opened it and left.
"Well isn't it a great night!" I said sarcasticly, the truth was as I started to walk it started to rain. I headed for Billie's nieghborhood, but on my way there,I herd an engine roaring, I turned around and took a glance of the surronding, I figured out that a car was following me. When I got to the front gates at the neighborhood
I turned around and looked at the car and it stopped. My heart was racing and all
I could hear were two people talking and I saw two people got out of the car, one short and one tall. I couldn't make out the faces but when they came closer I backed away I walked right into the gate and I had nowhere else to go. There was a street light close by, so when they walked near it, I could just managed to make out the faces.
"Hey, What are you doing around here?" He asked with a strange look on his face.
