To The End, chapter 1
ABUSIVE BEGINNING....
'Stop it, Eric! Please!' was the thought going through the 16 year old's mind. She couldn't bring herself to say it. Her ribs were aching way to much and her breath had been taken away. Eric slapped Veronica again across the face, hard. She fell back a little, but couldn't fall to the ground since she already had. Her long brown hair fell hung in front of her face and her eyes stung with tears.
"S-stop. Please."
"You have the nerve to actually talk to me? And tell me to stop? Bitch," he said simply, but not without his words heavily slurring. The time read 9:50 at night. He kicked her one last time, and walked out like nothing happened.
Like they were still going out.
Of, course, that was a thing of the past. She had told him it was over, since he had been drinking more lately, swearing at her, and she'd heard rumors of him cheating on her with Katherine. Slut to the max.
She called him and said it was over, and about an hour later, he came over. Pissed drunk and pissed off.
The fact that he had abused her made Veronica a little afraid to go out anymore. But when she thought of who she would probably go out with first, Billie Joe came into her mind in a split second. The one who had been with her since her parents had gotten into the fatal car accident. Since she had lost them when she was 7.
Billie Joe, David, Allen, Marcy, Holly, Anna, his mom, and his dad (whoa, that's lots of people!) all welcomed her with open arms when she had nowhere to go. Billie Joe was her best friend since kindergarten. So when her parents had died, they had been best friends for 2 years. Now that they were 16, they had been best friends for 11 years.
Veronica was there to wipe Billie's tears and cry with him when they were 10 and his dad died of cancer. She was there to laugh with him when thier recently found friend, who they called Tre Cool, did something stupid or told a hilarious joke. She was there to listen to him when he had a problem. She congratulated him on any new songs he wrote.
She was always there for him.
