To The End, chapter 4

MR. SNUGGLY

Today was the day. Tre was moving in. Not forever, of course, but just untill things got a little more bearable at home.

So, anyways....

Billie Joe was carrying Tre's backpack full of clothes and another backpack full of stuff Tre wanted to bring up the stairs with Tre following behind him. "You know, Billie. I could've taken something."
"No, you couldn't," Billie argued.
"Why?"
"My mom says... that you're a guest... so you can't." he said while taking breaks to get some air.

"God, man. What all did you pack?"
"Um, clothes, CD's, baseball cards, Mr. Snuggly, and-"
"Wait a sec. 'Mr. Snuggly'? What the fuck?" Billie laughed.
"He's a bear, God. At least he has better looks than you!"
"No one, has better looks than me," Billie smirked.

The boys finished the walk up the stairs and turned into Billie's room. Billie walked over to his bed and literaly threw Tre's backpacks onto it. "Mr. Snuggly!" Tre cried and ran over to Billie's bed to fish out his beloved toy bear. Pathetic.

"C'mon, Tre. It's fucking stuffed. I'm sure it's fine."
"Just let me check."
"Fine, wussy. Meet me in Vero's room."
"OK. HEY! I'm not a wussy!" Tre yelled, but Billie was already walking down the hall.

~*~*Downstairs~*~*

"You mean I'm moving in, and so is that little PUNK?!"
"Honey, settle down."
"How can I? You have a God damn house full of little pot heads."
"Now, you stop it right there, Mister. Tre, Veronica, and Billie Joe are all very good kids. No matter what you may think. They have great personalities and you should just try to get along with them."
"So are you just going to let anyone move in?!"
"Tre's having family problems, and you're having money problems. I let in people who need help, badly. Not EVERYONE.
"Who care's if he has problems at home? He could live."
"His parents are always fighting."
"I'm leaving."
"Where to?"
"The bar, or something."
"You better be back soon."
"Fine, I'll try."

With that, Ollie's boyfriend exited the house and the argument ended.

"He better be able to get along with the kids or he's out," Ollie said out loud to no one in particular, and she went to go get dinner started.
