Strange Things Are Happening, chapter 20
The door burst open, and out came the bus driver.
"Are you boys okay?" he asked nervously.
Yeah, we're okay," started Billie Joe, "But Tre has a little cut on his forehead."
The bus driver looked at Tre, "Are you gonna be okay?"
"Yeah," replied Tre, "I think it's stopped bleeding anyway."
Tre looked at Mike. He seemed to be a little more at ease now.
"What did you hit?" asked Mike.
"The ditch," replied the bus driver, "I thought I had seen a girl standing in the middle of the road, so I swerved to miss her, and now, we're in a ditch."
Tre looked out of the window. The area was dark and spooky looking. The moon cast a strange shadow on the ground.
"Great," thought Tre, "I'm going to die."
He jumped as he heard the sound of someone knocking on the bus's door.
"Who is it?" asked Billie.
"My name is Jessica Neil," said the voice from the other side of the door, "I seen your bus crash, and I was wondering if everyone was alright."
Billie Joe walked over to the door, and started to open it.
"Don't open it, Bill," whispered Mike.
"Why not?"
"Because... I don't think we should trust her."
"Yeah," started Tre, "I agree with Mike."
Billie rolled his eyes and opened the door, "Would you like to come on?"
Jessica nodded and walked on to the bus. As she was walking up the last step, she stumbled and a gun fell out of her purse.
