Strange Things Are Happening, chapter 21
All four men looked between her and the gun.
Jessica blushed slightly, "Sorry... "
She bent over and picked up the gun. When she stood back up, she realized that all eyes were still on her.
"Is there a problem?" she asked in a slightly annoyed voice.
No one said anything.
She looked around at the different sets of eyes that were glued to her gun. Jessica sighed.
"I'm a cop. No need to worry."
She smiled as she felt all of them relax and exhale.
"Why were you standing in the middle of the road, officer?" asked the bus driver.
Jessica frowned, "There was a report of a dead body lying in the road. I came to
investigate, and there was not a body, only a puddle of blood."
Mike's eyes grew big, as he looked over at Tre.
"Fucking great!" thought Tre, "Why the hell did he look at me? Oh! That's right, because I'm going to DIE!"
Tre glared at Billie Joe. Billie looked at Tre with a confused expression.
As Jessica continued on with the report that she received, Billie asked Tre what his problem was.
Tre whispered angrily back, "Because you are going to get me killed! Why did you have to let her on the bus?"
Billie raised an eyebrow, "Get you killed? How in the hell am I going to get you killed by letting an investigator on the bus? Stop being stupid, Tre."
"You're the stupid one!" yelled Tre.
Jessica, Mike, and the bus driver jumped and looked over at Tre.
Jessica stepped forward, "Is everything alright?"
