Strange Things Are Happening, chapter 23
Jessica looked at Mike with wide eyes.
"You saw this girl?"
"In my dream... " he replied softly.
"Have you ever seen this girl before?"
"No... I don't think so... "
Tre was still freaking out. He just knew that it was too much of a coincidence. Something was definitely going on.
"Maybe Mike just saw the girl at one of our concerts, and subconsciously remembers her." offered Billie Joe.
"Well, whatever the reason, you boys shouldn't be out here," Jessica replied.
"Well, the bus isn't exactly working," interrupted the bus driver.
"Great," thought Tre, "how perfect. This is just like in the movies. Everything is all nice and quiet. A bus is traveling down a spooky, country road... Then! Out of nowhere, something happens, causing the bus to lose control, go off the road, and break down. Cue in the weird girl standing in the middle of the road talking about dead bodies disappearing, and there you go... A perfect setup for some strange monster to come in and tear everyone to shreds. Well, everyone except for the lead guy. Billie would probably make it. Everyone loves Billie Joe. He wouldn't EVER die, and the girl wouldn't die either. She's probably the killer!"
"Tre!" yelled Billie, interrupting Tre's thoughts.
"What?" he answered back.
Billie Joe sighed, "I asked if you want to go with Jessica and I to the city. Her car is right over there. Mike and the bus driver are staying. So, do you want to come?"
Tre thought about it. Then, he realized he was being an idiot. He needed to get a hold of himself. Nothing was coming to get him or anyone else. It was just a strange dream that Mike had had.
"Sure," replied Tre.
