Strange Things Are Happening, chapter 3
"TRE!" yelled Mike and Billie as they darted off the bus and over to the spot where Tre had just stood.
Silence.
"TRE!" they both screamed again.
There was only silence once again.
"Oh man, what are we gonna do Billie?" asked Mike.
"Maybe we should try and call someone... "
"Okay... "
Mike and Billie both got back on the bus. Billie went over to his bunk and pulled out his cell phone. The screen was black. He tried to turn on the phone, but it refused. Billie looked over at Mike, and Mike immediately went over to his bunk to try his phone. Once again, the screen was blank and the phone would not turn on.
Just then, Billie noticed something on his phone, where the plastic cover kept the batteries in, there was a small hole. Billie reached over and grabbed Mike's cell away and looked at the back of the phone, sure enough, the exact same hole was in the exact same place.
"What is it, Billie?" asked Mike.
"I don't know, but there's a hole in our phones," he answered.
Mike took his phone back and took the plastic covering off. The batteries inside had looked like they exploded.
"Woah! Billie! Look!" exclaimed Mike.
Billie looked over at Mike's phone. Then, he pulled the cover off to look at his batteries. They were also just like Mike's.
Suddenly, a big thump was heard from the side of the bus. Billie and Mike both jumped and looked out the window. Tre's flashlight had hit the side of the bus, and was lying on the ground, with the light flickering on and off. Then it just went out.
Billie had started to walk over to the door to walk outside and get the flashlight, but Mike stood in front of him.
"No, Billie, you're not going out there! We're leaving, now!"
"But what about Tre?" asked Billie.

"No, Billie, you're not going out there! We're leaving, now!"
"But what about Tre?" asked Billie.
