Big Break?, chapter 2
He struggled, trying to guide the words from his head to his mouth...
"Yeah... "; I filled in the awkward silence
"Well it's just... "; He was then interrupted by his phone going off in his pocket, he looked at the display then answered it, I took a sip of my coffee, "hey Adrienne, [pause] Do you have to go right now?[pause] Okay I'm on my way home now"; He hung up his phone and returned it to his pocket,
"I am soooo sorry about that, Adrienne has to go up and see her friend in Chicago I don't know why but I have to go and stay with the kids now... "; He had a look of frustration in his eyes. He gulped his coffee down quicker than you can say "whatsername";.
"Well I better be off then... "; I put my jacket on and got up
"No, wait you can come back to mine if you want I will make us something to eat... Yeah?";
"well I don't know its just I was meant to be with Jay tonight... "; It was obvious that Billie Joe was disappointed "well I guess I could come back I spose"; Billie Joe grinned and took my hand as we left the coffee house and walked down the street back towards the recording studio where we got into Billie Joe's car... When the engine started I rummaged in my bag and pulled out the American Idiot C.D I immeadiately put it on to Track 9 and started to sing along - badly... Billie Joe looked over laughed then blasted the song and sang along too.
About 15 minutes later we arrived at Billie Joe's house well I called it a house it was more like a castle... It was sooo big! He switched the engine off got out of his side then walked over to my door and opened it for me
"Wow! A real gentleman hey?"; I said cheekily
"You have no Idea,"; he replied like a little schoolboy.
We walked through the front door and were greeted by Little Jakob and Joseph who hugged Billie Joe, I just stood there not knowing what to do or say.
"Who's this daddy?";Jakob asked whilst pointing at me, he was wearing a little Green day top and Joespeh was wearing a little My chemical Romance top which seemed to be signed by Gerrad Way.
"This is my good friend, hey shouldn't you two be in bed? Come on lets put you to bed"; with that Joseph climbed on to his back and Jakob was hanging on to Billie Joe's neck and they walked up the spiral staircase.
About 5 minutes later Billie Joe returned, He had quickly got changed into a plain black T-shirt, He looked soo god damn good, I know I shouldn't be thinking like this but I couldn't help it, he took my hand and led me into the kitchen, I got butterflies in my stomach... I was in Billie Joe Armstrong's house and he was holding my hand. It felt sooo right but I knew that nothing could happen because I h ad Jay and he had Adrienne, But I guess you should never say never...
