Forever And Ever, chapter 1

The first time I saw Mike, the only thing I thought was "wow that guy has weird hair" and that was it. I thought nothing of that strange new kid that nobody but Billie Joe hung out with. That was when we were kids.A few years later we were just out of middle schoolers who were just a bit nervous about the road ahead.
I first met them at a place called Gilman street in Berkeley, not too far from where we went to school. I had never been there before, and I had no friends so,obviously, I was alone.
After the first few bands had played I saw Mike and Billie, talking over in a corner. I guess they noticed I was staring because finally they came over.
"Hey" I said.
"Hey" said Billie Joe.
"Do we know you from someplace?"asked Mike.
"Yea, I'm in the same classes as you guys at school."
"Oh, cool" said Mike, "I'm Mike and this is my pal Billie Joe"
"hey!" said Billie Joe again.
"okay...I'm Addie" I said, "Nice to meet ya'" They asked me if I wanted to watch the rest of the bands with them, and I said sure. Why pass up any opportunity for friends?
Pretty soon, I was going back to Gilman almost everyday. And from then on, Mike, Biile, and I became inseperable. We all went to the Gilman together and sometimes we would just hang out at Billie Joe's house.
One day, Billie Joe showed me this guitar that he got from his dad. He said he called it blue. He also told me that him and Mike were planning on starting a band. When I asked Mike what he was gonna play, he got all embarassed and told me he was learning to play bass.
"Cool Mike, I play bass guitar too!" I said.
"Really?" he asked. I could tell he was a little bit happier now.
"Yea" I said." If you guys wanted to,you could come over my house and play for a while.I'm sure my mom would'nt care.
"Cool" said Billie Joe "see ya then"
The next day when Billie and Mike arrived I was sorta surprised. They looked kinda like they were hiding something.
"Hey addie" said Mike brightening up.
"Hey Mike, hey Billie Joe," I said. All of a sudden Billie Joe started laughing.
"Whats so funny?"I asked
"Nothing Addie." he replied still laughing.
"Aw,leave her alone Billie Joe" said mike.Billie Joe stopped laughing.
"Come on Mike," Billie Joe said, "there's no use hiding it now, she probobly already knows you like her already." Oh my god. Mike likes me?! Since when? Mike suddenly became bright red and turned away. I pulled Billie Joe aside.
"Is that true what you said Billie Joe?" I asked.
"Yeah, haha, it's true" he replied.
"oh." I walked over to Mike.
"I wanted to ask you if what Billie Joe said was true or not."
"Yeah, he's telling you the truth," he replied" I wasent gonna say anything to you though 'cause I wasen't sure you liked me or not."
"Yeah Mike, I like you, I like you a lot" I said. Then, without hasitation, he kissed me. Right there, in front of Billie Joe. On the lips. I kissed back opening my mouth, as Billie Joe just stood there in awe.
"Dude, are we gonna jam or what, 'cause if you guys keep this up any longer I'm gonna be sick." said Billie Joe. I smiled.
"Yeah, let's go" said Mike.
I was kind of embarassed to play in front of Mike and Billie because they were so much better than me, but they didd'nt seem to mind. The song I played for them was called "my girl" and I had only just learned it, so I wasn't surprised when both of them just sat there with their jaws on the floor.
"Was it really that bad?" I asked.
"Hell no"said Mike "that was..."
"Freaking awesome!" finished Billie Joe.
"Wow," I said blushing. "thanks."
When it was finally time for the boys to leave Mike asked me If he could talk to me for a second.
"Sure"I said.
"good"
"hey mike?" I asked, "did you mean it when you kissed me?"
"of course" he said. "I was going to ask you that same thing."
"yeah, I did and I really really like you" I said.
"wow, I like you too Addie" And then he kissed me again, and the feeling was just as magical.
"Mike!!!!" Billie Joe yelled. "come on! my mom is gonna kill me!"
"better go" said Mike. "bye Addie, love ya'"
"bye mike, love you too"
