At the Library, chapter 8
***3rd Person***
Fallyn tried to free herself from Billie Joe's grasp without waking him up. She just needed to get home, her mother was going to freak out on her. She hadn't been home that night, and being as how she'd lied to her mother, her mother had probably called Allie and realized that she wasn't there, and most likely called the cops when she hadn't returned home that night. Fallyn had almost gotten out of Billie Joe's arms, when she felt his grip tighten and pull her back down towards him. She rolled over to face him, and he was smiling sleepily at her. "Isn't your head killing you?"
Billie Joe just smirked and held Fallyn where she was. "Nope, I popped a couple of chasers." He nodded a bit, proud of himself. Fallyn just grunted at him. Maybe it wasn't the best choice, but she felt like her brain was going to explode, and she had to get home. "Go you..." She replied sarcastically. "I have to go..."
Billie Joe just looked at Fallyn, with a puzzled expression. "Go? Why?" He pouted at her a bit, and she sighed.
"I told my mother that I was going to Allie's, when I didn't come home last night, I'm SURE she called Allie to find out where I was, and if she does know I wasn't there, she's going to kill me. Hopefully she hasn't called the cops, but I wouldn't be suprised if she did. The sooner I get home, the better." She sighed heavily. Just then, a thought hit Fallyn. "And...why were we asleep together?"
Billie Joe looked thoughtful for a moment, and then turned his gaze back onto you. "Drinking, smoking, you jumping on the couch and making me want to puke." Fallyn just gave him an off look, and he rolled his eyes at her. "From what I can remember, you were jumping on the couch being obnoxious and wouldn't stop, so I pulled you down to stop you, and I guess we both just fell asleep." He nodded, fairly certain that he had the events correct.
"Well that's good, at least nothing happened..." Fallyn let out a breath that she hadn't even realized she'd been holding. Billie Joe just pouted at her. He didn't know why, but he felt suddenly guilty. He remembered kissing her on the cheek. Not that anything like that really counted, but still.
Billie Joe just pouted at her. He didn't know why, but he felt suddenly remembered something. "Except for-" He cut himself off as he realized that kissing her on the cheek wasn't that big of a deal.
Fallyn's eyes widened in horror. Except for, were the worst words he could have possibly said at the time. Not that she didn't like him, she did, but drunken...whatever they did, couldn't be good. "Except for what?"
Billie Joe smirked at her worry. He knew what had happened was nothing, but she didn't, and messing with her for a bit could be quite funny, and make her stay for a little longer. For some reason, he wanted that to happen. "Nothing, it was nothing...really."
"Billie...WHAT happened?" Fallyn had a worried look on her face. Billie Joe just smirked at her. Messing with her mind for a few minutes could be quite fun. He reached out his hand, and layed it on her cheek, his thumb idly caressing her cheek. Fallyn just closed her eyes, and Billie couldn't help but be amused by that.
Billie Joe just smirked at her. Messing with her mind for a few minutes could be quite fun. He reached out his hand, and layed it on her cheek, his thumb idly caressing her cheek. Fallyn just closed her eyes, and Billie couldn't help but be amused by that. He leant down, and whispered softly in her ear. "Would it really be that bad if something happened...?" He slid his hand down her cheek slightly, causing her to yelp. He looked suddenly worried, and realized that his thumb had just brushed over a bruised patch of skin. It was barely visable, but a bruise none the less. His eyes widened in horror. "What happened?"
Fallyn went to pull away from him, as soon as he asked that. She didn't know why, but she didn't want him knowing what happened, and the fact that he was messing with her feelings, that she didn't even know she had for him, bothered her. Billie Joe just held her firmly in place. "She hit you, didn't she?" Fallyn refused to look at him, she averted her eyes, looking down at the patterns on his shirt. "I knew it. Why do you let her do that to you?"
Fallyn looked up at him as he asked that. She said nothing for a minute. "I don't have a choice. Not exactly like my father is the picture perfect Dad who I can always turn to. He's in Detox for heroine. My mother is all I have..." She sighed, and Billie Joe just shook his head. Just then, she realized that she still had to get home. "I-I have to go!!!" She almost yelled as she remembered the conflict at hand.
"No, no one should have to put up with that sort of shit. That's what it is you know, a bunch of fucking SHIT. I'm not letting you go back there for her to abuse you some more. If she'll hit you for...I don't even know what reason, why wouldn't she do it again, especially for something like this?" Billie Joe just shook his head, as if he'd just made up his mind about something.
She sighed. "What do you propose I do then? It's not like I have much of a fucking choice. I'll go home, take whatever it is she dishes out, and go on with my life, it's no big deal!"
Billie just shook his head in the negative. "No, you do have a choice. You know I have my own place, and I'm nothing like your mother. You could always...stay with me. I mean, if you wanted to..."
Fallyn just looked at him for a moment, and blinked. Had he really just told her she could move in with him? She didn't even know what to say to that. "My mother would never let me, and not only that if she DID let me, which she wouldn't, I'd never be able to make her proud of me..."
Billie Joe just groaned, and looked at her. "I know, if you were to move out, she wouldn't be proud. But, is it worth all the pain she puts you through just to make her proud one time? Assuming you actually can. If you were to make her proud, would you be satisfied, or would you resent her for all the pain" as he said that, he brushed his thumb agains the small bruise, "she put you through? Ask yourself, is it really worth it?" Fallyn said nothing, just looked at him for a minute. Was it really worth it?
"I don't want to get in your way, I know you have a life of your own, and I wouldn't want to interfere with that..." She stated, avoiding the question.
Billie Joe wouldn't take that as an excuse. He lifted her head up to look him in the eye, and he asked her, ever so softly. "Is it worth it?"
Fallyn just looked him in the eye, and sighed. She knew he was right, but still, she didn't want to cause him any trouble. "No...it's not. But I don't want to be in your way or anything..."
He just shook his head at Fallyn, as if she'd said something stupid. "You wouldn't be. Obviously if I offered for you to go, I have no problem with you being there..."
"My mom will never let me though..." She sighed. It had sounded good, until that thought resurfaced in her mind. Her mother wouldn't let her move out.
"Fal, you're 16, going to be 17. You're old enough to move out and take care of yourself. Fuck what your mother says. You're not a child, you can make your own choice. I'm not telling you to do this, but if you want to, I think you should." Billie Joe just looked at you and awaited her response.
***Your POV***
You still weren't sure that you wouldn't be in Billie Joe's way, but his points were just...so valid. You wanted to do this, you wanted to get away from your mother, you wanted the freedom to be yourself, and you wanted to get away from the abuse. You looked up at Billie Joe, and smiled a bit. He was offering you what you'd wanted for the longest time, the freedom to be yourself. "You're sure I wouldn't be bothering you?" He just smiled and nodded at you, knowing that had been your way of accepting. You smiled and hugged him. "Thank you..."
Just then, you heard someone clambering down the stairs. Both you and Billie Joe looked up to see Tre and Amy, half dressed coming down the stairs. "Looks like someone's been fucking..." Billie Joe smirked at the two of them. Both of their heads shot up, and Amy rushed up the stairs to get more clothes on. You simply laughed, and Tre grinned like a fool.
"Maybe someone has...but what would you know about that?" Tre boasted. He was clearly thrilled about the fact that he'd gotten some. "Not like you're getting any."
Billie Joe straightened his middle finger at Tre, and then laughed. You just shook your head at the display between the two of them, and then once again, another thought of your mother hit you. "Uh...Beej?" When he looked at you, you sighed heavily. "I still have to go home..." He opened his mouth to protest, but you cut him off before he could. "I have to TELL my mother and get some of my stuff..." You were nervous about facing your mother, and the nerves could be heard in your voice.
He just nodded at you, knowing you were right. "I'm not about to let you go there alone, fuck knows what your mom will do, I'm coming with you."
Fallyn tried to free herself from Billie Joe's grasp without waking him up. She just needed to get home, her mother was going to freak out on her.
