Whatsername, chapter 4
Many years have gone to past. Ann quit the band and moved out of her step mom’s place, Mike now plays bass, Sweet Children is Green Day, they have an album out, and Billie Joe has a new girl friend named Adrienne Nesser. And they have a new drummer, Tre Cool of whom she never met. Like John, she quit the band to stay with her education.
“Gah!!! How the hell do you solve this fucking problem!?� Ann was flipping through her textbook, lying on her belly reviewing random math problems. She was concentrating so hard she was sweating. The loud ringing of her phone broke her concentration.
“H-Hello?� She stammered
“Um. Hi. It’s me Mike� Her face lit up. She hasn’t heard from the guys in awhile. They were all to busy.
“Hey Mike! I’m glad to hear from you! How’s Billie?�
“He’s fine. Listen, um we’re about to go on tour and the both of us wanted to know if you’d like to play with us. You know. You can play back-up guitar� The muscles on her forehead scrunched together as she felt disappointed.
“I don’t know... My college semester is about to start in about 2 weeks. So I don’t know�
“Oh,� he said in a low voice “Um. Can you hold on for a sec.?� Through the receiver she could hear an indistinct conversation between Billie Joe and Mike. The only words she understood were “I dunno, you go talk to her�
“Hello?�
“Hi Billie.� Her eyes felt heavy and she had a slight frown on her face.
“Hey Ann! Can pleeeease play on tour with us? If you want you can just play with us for a week. Is that all right? We haven’t seen each other in a while. “
“Weeeell. Since it’s you... Okay!�
“Great! I’ll see you in two days� before she clicked off Billie Joe said one more thing.
“And Ann. I’m sorry about--“
She interrupted him.
“It’s okay� She hung up the phone and buried her face in her pillow. “-Sigh- God�

Ann woke up to the sound of her alarm clock blaring. She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and sat there for a while, then got up and went to the bathroom and took a cold shower to wake her up. When she got out, she blow dried her short Black/Green hair, and combed it until it flipped outwards. She slipped on her black baby-girl styled short-sleeved shirt, a pair of Denim caches, and her black Chucks. Ann put on her other accessories like her Ankh Earrings, a 3 row spiked leather bracelet, and the bracelet Billie Joe gave her for her 16th birthday.
Ann put her guitar and a bag of cloths and other stuff that’d last her about 5 days. She drove out to the cheap motel they were going to stay at. When she arrived she saw Mike outside talking to a fat man balding man wearing a stained white wife beater, who had yellow sweat stains under his armpits. She parked and exited the car and walked towards Mike. He greeted her with opened Arms.
“Ann! It’s so nice to see you!� He wrapped his strong arms around her.
“Yeah. It’s great to see you to Mike. It’s been so long� He smiled at her and handed her a key that said “room #13�
“Um. That’s where you’re going to be staying. Me, Billie, and Tre are going to be in room 24. So... I going to let you unpack your stuff and we’ll see you later�
While he was walking away she screamed “YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HELP ME!� He calmly said “Nope!� He waved good-bye and walked to the room where he was going to stay.
She exhaled sharply and walked over to her car.
