A Hurricane Of Fucking Lies, chapter 25

"Ashley!" Yelled Joey, from outside her window. He knew she was hurting, but they had to leave before Adie and Billie Joe realized he was gone. Then he would be in deep shit.

"Joey, baby, I can't get down through the window. Just come in and get me, please? My parents are at the lawyer's office, they won't be back for a while. Please?" Pleaded Ashley. She was having second thoughts about leaving, but she loved Joey to death. She wasn't ready to get married, she was hoping they could just run away and start a life, together.

"Yeah I'm coming. Hold on a second!" Yelled Joey, creeping slowly into Ashley's unlocked house. All houses in Berkley were fucking huge, and Ashley's was no exception. "No wonder why they'll have to move." thought Joey who made his way upstairs to get his girlfriend. "You ok?" He asked, grabbing her three bags and running to put him in his car.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about all the luggage, if you want me to get rid of a few things.." she said, but Joey cut in.

"No of course not. You need lots of clothes. We need to get going though, so I'll be right back up." He said, running down to his car and throwing the bags in the back seat. He had a gun in the trunk just in case.. Just in case Tom found her.

"I'm coming up, so do you have crutches?" asked Joey, running back up the stairs.

"Yeah I do. The wound is on my side and on my leg. But what about you? You got shot, I don't want you to get hurt..." asked the worried Ashley.

"No it's fine. I have meds that make it like basically numb, lets just go honey, ok?" He said, picking her up. He slowly made his way out of the front door, looking around for nosy neighbors that could give them up. Empty street. Good. He leaned her into the car and she sat down in the passenger seat. "I'm going to go get your crutches, stay put." He ran back upstairs to get her stuff and put them in the trunk with the gun.

"Joey, thank you. I have to get away. I know you have a new sister and everything and you probably wanted to bond with her. I know you have a great family and I'm sure you didn't want to leave," explained Ashley, kissing Joey as he speeded out of her subdivision.

"No, I had to get out too. My dad is too busy being the big legend, my mom is like monster bitch, and Jake is a mess. Crystel is adorable, but I love you, and if you move, my life would be over," He said, still driving, but now about at the speed limit. Joey was a smart driver. And a good one. He had an amazing sense of direction, and that was helpful in situations like that. So they were off to a motel near Oakland, which would take them about 2 hours to find it. The final spot, was in San Diego. Joey had more then enough money to rent an apartment, buy food, rent hotel rooms, clothes, anything. And with Billie Joe's ID (and him looking like him) they were set for anything, beer, whatever. Just hoping they wouldn't get caught, that was the big issue.

*Back at the Armstrong House*

Billie Joe and Adrienne were just wrapping up some "make up" sex. The stress that the newly reunited couple had been under was huge. Joey getting shot and in the hospital and then him going behind Adie's back to have sex with Ashley was enough, but Jakob's grades were slipping and they found weed in his pocket, and he was only 13. And Crystel was adjusting to a new family, and a like having a new baby, Adie and Billie had to take care of her like they had to Joey and Jakob. That was hard for a couple in their early 40's that was supposed to be settling down. But Crystel was adorable and not hard to take care of at all, and both Armstrong's didn't seem to mind the new addition. Plus, Green day was still huge everywhere, and interviews, photo shoots, and normal things a band do were still part of Billie Joe's life. So he still wasn't around a lot, so Adie was stuck raising a new girl, even though it really was her responsibility, she liked help, which she could usually get from Noah, but he was long gone. So she hoped Billie Joe could help a little bit, but in reality, it wouldn't be much.

"I feel bad for Joey and that girl, I'm going to go check on him," said Adie to Billie Joe. He nodded and ruffled through his hair a little bit. He was very stressed about everything likewise his wife. He hoped Joey would be ok with this Ashley. He liked Ashley, and he could tell Joey was head over heels in love. But he had felt love of a girl who went away and he met Adie and he loved her more. But you never forget your first true love. But you can move on. And he hoped Joey could move on, he would feel so much better.

"BILLIE JOE GET YOUR ASS UP HERE NOW!" yelled Adie. Billie Joe ran up stairs, confused. He didn't do anything, not this time. "WHERE THE HELL IS OUR SON?" screamed Adie, even though he was standing right there.

"Maybe he's still in the shower," said Billie Joe, who just realized he couldn't hear any water.

"Oh yeah, smart one, do you hear any water? Do you see Joey? Do you see him, huh?" She asked, shoving Billie Joe out of Joey's bedroom.

"I have no idea where the hell he went, we were downstairs, and the last thing I heard was the shower but then I heard it stop, and I figured he was done, but I didn't hear anyone leave, but his car is not in the driveway. Let me just call his cell phone," said Billie Joe, handing his freaking wife a glass of water.

"Hello." Answered Joey, who was still driving to Oakland. Ashley was sleeping, the painkillers she was on made her really sleepy.

"Joey where the hell are you?" asked Billie, a little mad at his rebelling sons. Both of them.

"Well daddio, took ya long enough to realize I was gone, didn't it? Well you missed your chance now. I'm not telling. And you can't trace my cell phone," mocked Joey, waiting for his dad's angry response.

"Joey, get your ass back here. Don't try to be a smart ass. I know your upset that Ashley is moving but you have to come back. You will get over her, I promise. I had the same problem as you, and I'm just fine, really Joey, come back," said Billie Joe, trying to be as calm as possible.

"No dad, you don't get it. Everyone is trying to break us apart, and I love her more then anything. I know you love mom, but you don't have to sneak to see her, your fucking married. So you don't' know what it's like. So please, just shut up, bye." Joey hung up the phone and moved Ashley's hair out of her face. He stopped in a hotel parking lot and carried Ashley inside, got a room, and settled in. Nobody could find him now, nobody.

Adrienne looked at Billie Joe, "So what the hell is his problem now?" asked Adie, also mad at her son.

"I think he's running away with Ashley, and not coming back," said Billie Joe, looking for his credit cards and ID, "and he's doing it as me." The Armstrong's looked at each other, scared for the future of their son.
