It's Comedy And Tragedy, chapter 13
Rai and Billie finally arrived at Danelle's house. They pulled into the drive-way and parked next to Adie's car. Rai threw her bag over her shoulder and continued to the front door. Billie stood next to her, she rang the door bell and Danelle's mom answered the door.
"Hey, how are you doing?" asked Danelle's mom, Sharon.
"I'm doing fine, how about you?" replied Rai.
"I'm doing okay. So this must be Billie Joe?" questioned Sharon.
"Yes, nice to meet you, sorry what is your name?" asked Billie, offering his hand.
"My name is Sharon. It's nice to meet you too. Please, come in."
Sharon stepped aside and waved in Billie and Rai. Adie and Danelle were sitting in the living room talking to Danelle's dad, George.
"Hey honey, I was starting to worry about you, what took you guys so long?" questioned Adie.
"Oh, sorry, I took awhile getting my stuff." Replied Rai.
"Oh, okay." Said Adie.
Sharon sat next to her husband as they continued their chat with Danelle and Adie.
"Hey Danelle, mind if I go unpack my stuff in your guestroom?"
"No, go ahead." Said Danelle.
Rai carried on up the stairs to the guestroom, leaving everyone talking downstairs.
Rai walked down the hall and arrived at the guestroom. She placed the bag on the bed, and unzipped it. When she was rummaging through the contents, she found the knife. She pulled it out and stared at it. She put it in her pocket, and emptied the bag onto the bed. She refolded her clothes and began placing them in the dresser. A hand landed on her shoulder and startled her, she turned around and saw it was Billie.
"I can't do this Rai, I can't." He confessed. "I can't act like nothing happened between us."
Without letting her speak, he pulled her into a romantic kiss. They fell on the bed and continued kissing passionately. Rai didn't resist.
"AHHHH!!"
They both looked up and saw Adie standing in the doorway. Tears filled her eyes as she ran downstairs and out the front door.
"ADIE! WAIT, NO!"
Billie jumped off the bed and ran after her. Adie turned on her ignition and sped off. She continued driving, aware she was driving over the speed limit. Tears streamed down her face.
'Shit!' she thought. She tried to make a sharp turn but lost control.
"BAAM!"
Adie's car collided with another vehicle head on.
As Billie got in his car, and drove off looking for his wife, tears started to form in his eyes.
'What the fuck was I thinking?' he thought to himself. He was distracted when he saw red lights beaming on the road ahead of him. Billie slowed down, he looked over to the totaled car, it looked familiar. He opened his car door and walked over to the scene. He noticed two familiar faces sitting on the back of an ambulance, getting treated by paramedics. Mike and Tre. He ran towards them,
"Holy Shit! What happened, are you guys okay?" asked Billie.
Mike had broken his rib and had a few bruises and cuts. Tre seemed to have a broken leg and a few cuts and bruises as well.
Mike and Tre didn't answer Billie's question, they just continued to look down on the pavement.
Billie felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He turned around and saw a police man standing there.
"Excuse me sir, but what is your name?" asked the policeman.
As Billie had turned around he recognized a second vehicle, Adie's. Tears filled his eyes again.
"B-Billie Joe Armstrong." He replied quietly.
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this sir, but your wife was involved in the accident also. She didn't make it."
"Hey, how are you doing?" asked Danelle's mom, Sharon.
"I'm doing fine, how about you?" replied Rai.
"I'm doing okay. So this must be Billie Joe?" questioned Sharon.
