It's Comedy And Tragedy, chapter 9
"So, we haven't really had a chance to talk lately." Said Billie, breaking the silence between them.
"I know, we haven't." replied Rai. "Billie, can I ask you a question?"
"Yea, sure, anything."
"Remember when I asked if that kiss we had between us, if it meant anything? Well you never really answered me, and I would really like an honest answer." Said Rai.
Billie looked down at his hand. He didn't know what to tell her. He wanted just to tell her the truth, but he knew if he did, it would screw up their friendship. Even his marriage if word got out.
"Baby... " began Billie. "When I kissed you, it wasn't just a sympathy kiss. There was more in it for me, but I am married and I love Adie and my boys very much."
Billie paused. He looked up into her eyes and smiled.
"But I would really love to continue where we left off."
And with that he leaned forward and cupped her face with his hands. They began kissing passionately, more so than either had done they're entire life. Billie knew this was wrong, but he couldn't pull away. His feelings for Rai were too strong, and he couldn't control them. Even if he tried. They continued kissing for several minutes, till Rai pulled away from embarrassment.
"We really shouldn't be doing this." Said Rai in a soft whisper.
Billie put his finger over Rai's lips, signaling for her to stop talking. She did as she was told.
Rai felt Billie pull her on to the bed. Rai threw her leg over Billie, so he was in between them. They continued kissing.
"I love you Rai!" yelled Billie, in between a kiss.
Rai shot up off of him.
"WHAT?" she asked, completely shocked. "Did you just say that you love me?" asked Rai, confused.
"Yes. No. wait, yea I did." Replied Billie. "I'm sorry I guess I just got caught up in the moment."
Rai got off of Billie and fixed her hair.
"I'm going to go look for everyone, I'll be back." Said Rai.
"NO! Rai, don't leave, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it. Well, I like you, but I don't love you. It's too sudden." Said Billie, confused of what he just said.
"No, it's alright, I understand. I just need to get some fresh air real quick. I'll be right back." Said Rai, as she tugged at her shirt.
