"MoOoOOOOm why did we haffta move?" Little five year old Billie Joe Armstrong asked.
"Because why don't you go outside and see if you can make some friends honey."
His mom said walking around him with a box into the kitchen. The Armstrong family just moved to a house in Rodeo and from the looks of it the youngest Armstrong didn't really think he would find anything tto do around here.
"What's wrong Billie boy?" His dad asked scooping up his son from the front step.
"There's no one here to play with."
"Well have you looked?"
"Yeah see there's no one outside." Billie's innocence and sadness made the man chuckle.
"Son why don't you go meet the neighbors I'm sure at least one of them will have a kid for you to play with.....Or maybe a dog." The little boy did his best to keep the smile hidden but midpout he broke into a toothy laugh.
"Here BJ do me a favor and take this inside and to the first room up the stairs." Billie's sister Anna said giving him a small box.
"OK!" His father put him down and watched him disappear into the house. When he looked back there was a woman coming towards the house from across the street with a little girl holding her hand.
"Hello I'm Mrs. Santos welcome to the neighborhood and this little girl right here is Sinteria." Andrew and Anna looked down to the little girl with pigtails hiding behind her mother's skirt.
"Why hello aren't you a little darling?" Andy said bending down to get a better look at the girl she looked at him her dark almond shaped eyes wide and glittering. Her hair was short black and the natural curls were tight and bouncy. She had a smalll mouth and by all means was quite bashful not like his Billie Joe not in the least.
"Hello." She said finally standing in front of her mother giving Anna a good view of the little girl.
"AWWWW look at you! Your so adorable!" She proclaimed the little girl looked at her confused then smiled when Anna tickled her stomach.
"Daddy look she has dimples! AWWW!!!" Anna's cooing over the little girl's beauty had her mother walk out to see what was happening.
"What is going on out here?....Oh hello I'm Ollie Armstrong." She offered her hand and Mrs. Santos took it.
"Hello I just came by to welcome the new family."
"Mom look at her daughter she's so pretty!!" Anna squealed the poor little girl was in a circle of adults not sure of what was going on Ollie looked down and met eyes with Sinteria.
"Why yes she is hello there."
"Hi." She offered a slight wave wlaking backwards until she was against her mother's legs.
"Would you like to go inside for a cookie and you can meet my son Billie Joe he's 5." Sinteria's eyes widened and she looked up at her mom.
"Can I mommy please?" Her mother didn't exactly seemed thrilled.
"Well I don't-"
"Oh come on Billie needs a pal and my wife makes teh best cookies."
"OK just for a bit though." The girl hugged her mommy and Anna took her little hand show her in.
"Do you need any help?" Mrs. Santos offered them.
"No I think we're fine but thanks for letting us borrow your daughter Billie needsa friend and well your Sinteria is just so adorable."
"Thank-you." Mrs. Santos seemed a bit jealous over the praise her daughter was getting and excused herself leaving to her house. Meanwhile Ana had set Sinteria in a seaat and was rummaging through the almost bare cabinets until she found a ceramic cookie jar.
"Bingo! Here ya go." She handed her a cookie.
"Thank-You." She answered mousily.
"BJ come down here wouldya?" Anna screamed up the stairs from the hallway she saw that Mrs. Santos had lef and went outside again to help her parents bring in the last of the boxes that were on the lawn.
"OK!!!!!" Billie's feet could be heard scampering down the steps he didn't even notice the curly haired girl eating a cookie in the dining room and vice versa Sinteria was so intent on her chocolate chip cookie the little flash running down the stairs didn't bother her in the least.
"Yeah Annie?" Billie stood at the doorway out of his family's way.
"Didn't you see her?" Anna asked placing a box down in the living room.
"See who?"
"Oh BJ your so spazztic." Anna tooke her little brother's hand and led him into the dining room where Sinteria had just finished her cookie and was throwing the paper away.
"Her." Anna pointed to the empty chair where she had left the kid.
"Who?" Billie Looked at his sister strangely.
"Her! wait...Where is she?? Sinteria!."
"Who's dat?"
"Yes?" The little girl appeared from behind next to the refridgorator.
"Where'd you go?"
"I finished my cookie and threw away the trash." She said almost apologetically.
"Oh..Anyways here's Billie my little brother." Billie looked at the girl and she reminded him of Shirley Temple just not blonde and more tan.
"Hi!" He offered a smile and exaggerated wave,
"Hi." She did the same except less dramatic and more bashful.
"I'm Billie!" He repeated.
"I'm Sinteria."
"Sintwia?" He asked having trouble with the pronounciation of the name.
"Noooo." She giggled.
"Sinewtia?"
"Hehehe noooooo Sinteria!" She giggled.
"AWWWWWWWW!!!" Anna broke in.
"She's cwazy." Billie said pointing to his sister causing Sintera to giggle again.
"Sintewia?"
"Yes?"
"I got it wight?"
"Tehe yesss."
"Can I call you sin instead?" He asked assuming it would be easier on him.
"Sure most people call me Angel cause of my other name."
"What is it?"
"Angel!" She replied happily.
"Oh I like Sin better.
"OK."
"Wanna go play with my toys?"
"OK!"
"Let's go to my woom I'll race you!!"
"OK......but HEY! I dunno where your room is!" Before she could finish Billie was of and Sinteria soon followed chasing him.
"Haha I win!"
"No fair you cheated!"
"But I won."
"Cheater."
"Loser." He stuck his tongue out as she did then they proceeded to open up the boxes tossing aside clothes until they found their treasure.
"Look I found it!" Billie said triumphantly looking into a big box.
"Oooh let's play ball." Sin pulled out a shiny red bouncing ball.
"OK." They ran outside and started bouncing the ball back and forth to each other. It wasn't long after the Armstrong boy decided it wasn't entertaining enough and put the ball in his front yard.
"Wanna play tag instead?"
"OK YOUR IT!!" Sinteria screamed tagging him causing him to stumble back.
"Hey!" he laughed and started chasing her making her burst out with laughter when he would get to close to her. The older Armstrongs stood at the door watching the little kids run around the house.
"AWWW!" Anna said again.
"They look so cute I need my camera!" She disappeared into the house leaving her parents alone.
"They do look mighty cute." Ollie said hugging her husband.
"I don't think Bill's gonna havea problem with living here anymore."
"Got it!" Anna came back out with a polaroid camera somewhere between all of this Billie had tagged Sin and she was chasing him now, When they made their way around the front again Anna waited a few seconds and when Billie turned around to see how close Sin was she pushed the button. the polaroid came out but the kids hadn't even noticed that Anna had taken a picture.
"This is gonna be such a cute picture."
"Hopefully it didn't come out blurry." it took about two minutes for the polaroid to develop and they were glad to see that even though the background came out blurry Sinteria and Billie came out crystal clear.
"Look!" Anna shoved the picture in her parents faces. they took it observed and smiled.
"How sweet they look together." Her mother cooed.
"These memories will last him a life time if not him me look at that gap toothed smiled." Andy chuckled. They looked over at the kids to see them sprawled out on the grass arguing over who won.
"The smell of young love." his parents laughed as she kicked his shin and then they started running around the house again.
"Oh yeah I feel the love." Anna said laughing as Billie tackled her and they started fighting.
"We should break that up I don't think Mrs. Santos would be to happy if we returned her daughter black and blue."
"Your right...KIDS COME IN WANT A SNACK?!"Ollie screamed.
"Ooohh let's go come on." Billie said sticking his hand out helping Sinteria up.
"OK." They ran back to the fron together hand in hand.
"Aww you two look so cute together." Billie blushed and pulled his hand away at his sister's remark.
"Yuuuccchhhh she's a girl."
"Ahh you won't feel like that later on watch son." His father warned.
"So who wants a PB&J and some cookies?" They all looked at Billie's mom.
"I do!" Everyone said rasing their hand walking in laughing for snack time.
