Following Sinteria's birthday came all the holidays Halloween Thanksiving even christmas and New Years was spent with the Armstrongs her parents never joining in the festivites or joy. During these passing months Andrew had been talking to child services and they were even planning on doing a small investigation in the next months and even having a talk with her to see if she wanted to leave because apperently if there was no apperent proof she had the choice to leave. Things were going good for Andrew especially for Billie's birthday it was by far the most memorable one of all his children. Billie wanted the party at the lake just like Sinteria had hers and he even wanted it a surprise party even though he already knew about it. Unlike Sinteria's birthday where it was almost perfect billie's was a disaster a fun disaster though. First the cake wasn't made on time and instead of getting happy birthday Billie they got Happy birthyday Ashley, billie's mom tried to cover it up with decorations but Billie ended up noticing anyways. Then the place they had gotten last time was taken and the part they got instead wasn't exactly the greatest of areas instead of grass they had gravel and they had no shade from the sun which didn't matter because by about 3 a sudden storm had ruined everything else. And even though it wasn't exactly a good time for his parents Billie had a great time. He decided it would be a good idea to take off his shoes and jump into the lake with all his clothes on then pull Sinteria in when she lenaed in to close.
"BILLIE! YOUR SO MEAN BILLIE!" Sinteria screamed swimming out at full speed as Billie chased her telling her he was gonna put her underwater so Jaws could catch her. After gettting yelled at the rest of Billie's birthday was disaster after disaster his dad fell into the lake to when Billie decided to dive in again. Andy thought it was funny but Ollie thought Billie was being to defiant.
"He's just being a ten year old you aren't gonna cut it to his teens are you lady?" He laughed kissing his wife's cheek.
"Ewwww you guys are gross." Billie said sticking his tongue out making a funny face.
"Yeah well you look like a wet dog... And sorta smell like one too." his mother said making the same face he did. Billie refrained from rolling his eyes and went to join the game of soccer that Sinteria Chris and Josh were playing, Sin was already teamed with Josh so he got stuck with Chris who pretty much sucked.
"I want to change teams Sinteria is easier to play with." Billie objected when Chris tripped over himself for the fifth time.
"Billie you just want Angel because you like her." Josh taunted.
"No I don't shut up! She plays better then either of you two." The guys ignored Billie and started chanting.
"Billie and Angel sittin' in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g first comes love then comes marriage then comes the baby in the baby carriage." They circled around Billie Sin to embarrased to say anything. It ws getting to Billie and he finally wated for Josh to get close enough and he shoved him to the floor. He fell back brasing his elbows. He didn't cry or scream out in pain but got up and lunged at Billie. They rolled around hitting each toerh best they could before Allan pulled them apart.
"What the hell is going on?!" He demanded
"He's makin' up stuff about me likin' Sin."
"It ain't no lie you like Angel!" he creamed out Chris was standing next to Angel as she just stared blinking stupidified at why they were fighting. Wow. She thought girls really were better then boys she shoulda known Annie had told her and Annie knew lot's a stuff.
"Billie you know this isn't how we solve problems and Josh shut up just cause you don't have a friend that is as pretty as her who can play as tough as the boys don't go around making up lies now go clean up that cut." He said letting go of Josh's shirt collar not letting go of Billie's.
"You and me kid we're gonna go have a chat." He pulled him away in the direction of the trunk still grabbing Billie's shirt collar. Sin looked as he was dragged away by his older brother then looked down at the ball kicking it up then resting it on the top of her foot.
"Wow how did you do that?!" Chris and Josh both stared wide eyed.
"Easy." She gloated kicking it up to her knees before throwing itfrom one to theother before getting it high enough to her chest then to her forehead. They stared in awe girls weren't supposed to do that stuff they had to do girl stuff like play with dolls and barbie's baking cookies with their mom or something. She showed off a bit more before finally letting it fall to the ground stopping it by throwing her foot on top of it.
"Can you teach us?" She crossed her arms looking up in mock thinking before looking back at them smiling.
"Nope." She got the ball again kicking it away from them.
"She's mean."
"Yeah she's a bitch." Josh cursed as he felt the stinging pain in his elbows.
"Ooooooo you said a cus word." Chris' eyes bulged out he never heard his friends cus before.
"What's new go with me to the bathroom." He demanded as he walked away amazed at how bad his friend was acting he followed right along not even bothering to think for himself. Back at the truck Al lifted Billie onto thehood and leaned on it.
"Why did you have to hit him? I'm proud of you kid don't tell mom and dad but I'm proud of ya kid you learned to kick some ass." He said proudly..
"He was making fun of me I shoulda hit him more."
"BJ it's the truth you know you like her."
"Do not!" He protested.
"Oh do so Billie everytime she touches you you turn redder then a damn cherry you always wanna get near her but whenyou do you treat her mean. Buddy I know what I'm talking about and take it from me your going about it all wrong. What you wanna do is make her feel pretty like she's the only girl... Oh wait this chat is for later besides dad will probably get to you laterso scratch that last part." Billie looked at Alan wht talk was he talking about? What did his dad need to talk to him about.
"What's the talk for?"
"Things that your gonna need later."
"Like what." He kept asking.
"Things now go and play I think Chris and Josh left Sinteria alone wiht all the girls and you know how aggressive she gets."
"I sure do," He said almost falling off the truck he was reffering to all the countless times she would get mad and hit him walk away then hit him again for not apologizing when she came back. When he walked up to Sin she looked about ready to shove the soccer down Christina's throat because she was talking her ear off. She kicked the ball to the lake and slyly excused herself running to the water grabbing the ball. The rain dyed down and the clouds were starting to clear revealing the sun again. She stood with her feet in the water closing her eyes taking in the slight breeze Billie tapped her shoulder causing her to open her eyes and look in the direction of where she was tapped he snuck in front of her when she looked back she was startled by the sudden closeness of his face to hers there noses brushed slightly making her blush slightly before backing away. Billie to felt the uneasiness of how close they were and fell back into the water.
"Billie are you okay?!" She said trying tohide her laughter.
"I'm fine." He grumbled hitting the water making her chuckle before she treaded out.
"Ok this has been one disaster after the other let's just cut the cake and go we can throw him a better party next year." Andy frowned this had certain'y been an eventful oarty to say the least. After all was said and done the kids were exhausted and fell asleep in the back of the truck the drive home was silent and peaceful something the family needed after the day's event. Getting home was a blessing they could barely keep their eyes open walking through the door they felt ready to collapse. Sinteria was carried to Anna's room she never even noticed getting lifted and didn't move after getting laid on bed. Andrew took Billie to his room he placed him in the bed sitting at the edge talking to his unconcious son.
"I know you don't remember the promise son but like I told you I keptit and pretty soon Angel is going to be happy just like she is when she's with you. I love you ten years of seeing you grow it's something I would never give up not for anythign in the world. I can't wait to see you in the next ten years of your growth with Angel by your side because even though you say you don't like her it may be true because it is more like love. I love you son I hope you had a... Fun birthday." He chuckled slighty kissing his son on the foreheaad the only reaction his father got was a shift in position and a slight groaning noise. A smile crept onto his face as he closed the door.
"She's going to be happy and your going to be even happier."
