The End Of Tré Cool?, chapter 3

Mike was now living in Billie Joe's house. He felt better because of Jakob and Joey. They made him laugh. But he was (of course!) still very sad....

Mike played with Joey when Billie Joe came and asked him if they could talk a few minutes.
"Okay. Joey can you excuse us? We can play later," answered Mike.
"Sure. I have to do my homework anyway..." said Joey.
"Wait!" screamed Billie Joe
"What?"
"Go out and play. Mike and I must be totally alone. Okay?"
"Okay. I'll do my homework later then..." said Joey and went out.

Suddenly Billie Joe started to yell at Mike. "Why Mike? Why are you doing like this?!"
"What are you talking about?" asked Mike.
"THIS!" screamed Billie Joe and throw a paper on Mike.
Mike didn't say anything. He knew what it was. It was his 'goodbye letter.'
"Why Mike? Please tell me why you are doing like this."
"I don't know. It's true, I don't know..." said Mike and started to cry.
Billie Joe hugged him and said, "I'm sorry for yelling at you, but I am just so worried..."
"It was about 2 weeks ago I wrote that," said Mike.
Billie Joe looked at him and asked if it was true.
"Yes, I would never lie to you."
"So you don't feel like that anymore?"
"No, I feel better now. But of course I'm still sad."
"I understand. I'm still sad too," said Billie Joe.
"But please tell me if you ever feel like that again. I want you to be happy."
"I'll tell you. I promise," said Mike, but it was a lie. If Mike ever feel that bad again, he wouldn't tell Billie....
