Undecided, chapter 3
Maddy ran down the street, through the alley way and into the club. She burst through the door of the backroom. Maddy looked around, only to be greeted by dirty looks from two blonde bimbo's sitting in the arms of her bandmates.
"Sorry to interrupt." She said while throwing her laundry on one of the empty couches, then sitting herself.
"You should be." Said one of the bimbos, staring her down.
She started to open her mouth in disbelief. She was going to kick that Bimbo's ass, but once again she was interrupted.
"Uh... Jill... yeah Jill. She's with us, you know the one I was talking about earlier?" Said Jase.
"Oh." She said with disgust.
Just then the stout man walked in.
"Sound check." He said, then turned his back and left.
Finally, Maddy thought to herself, another moment with these bimbo's and blood would be spilt, and it wouldn't be hers. She followed the stout man out of the room, then headed to the bus to grab her guitar. The guys soon joined her.
"Geez, Maddy, I coulda gotten laid tonight! Why'd you have to be a chick?" Said Rob jokingly.
"Oh, I am SOOOO sorry ROBERTO!" She laughed in response.
She picked up her guitar, and a sick feeling came over her, a slight de-ja-vu. Only last year she had been here... God she hated that guitar, and everything it symbolised. This isn't right, she thought to herself, I'm a bassist, not a lead singer or guitarist, this just isn't right...
They laughed their way through soundcheck, as usual. Then headed back to the backroom, where they were awaited by the bimbos. The three sat and started to chat as Maddy strummed on her guitar, Jase on his bass, and Rob air drummed. Maddy glanced at the clock, only ten minutes.
Billie Joe looked up at the clock, the club should be opening soon, he thought to himself as he sat on the hotel room bed. Tre and Mike were getting ready, but he was ready, he had been shortly after they arrived back at the hotel. He thought it would kill time, but minutes passed like hours. He wanted to see her again. She was confident, and happy. Something very hard to come upon when on the road, usually he would run into girls hoping that sleeping with a band member would solve all their problems.
"Come on guys!" Said Billie Joe impatiently.
"COME ON GUYS!!!" Said Tre mockingly.
"Keep your pants on we're coming." Laughed Mike.
The guys threw on their shoes and headed out the hotel. They arrived at the club about fifteen minutes later. Billie Joe looked around, to his disappointment, she wasn't there. He went straight to the bar, just then the band started to play, he stopped. He had never heard anything like it, it was amazing, but slightly familiar. That voice? He thought to himself, where have I heard that voice before?
He turned his head, and there on the stage an energetic brunnette bounced around on the stage, guitar in hand. She had captivated the attention of the audience, not a single eye could look away.
