School Days to Green Day, chapter 3
'Twas the year 1994, 8 years have come and passed, and I was 22. I'm still in Africa... ish. I'm currently on the plane home to America, New York. I got an invite from a mate of mine called Vicky. We met in Africa while helping a young girl who was starving. Since then we became the best of friends. I sit in my staring at the Picture of me Mike and Billie at school when we were 14 years of age. The guy sitting next to me said that they looked like some punk rock singers
The plane landed, I finally knew I was in New York. As soon as I left the plane and stepped into the airport I looked around, looking for Vicky then...
"MADISON!!!!" Vicky screamed, "There you are!"
"Hey Vicky... shall we go home now?"
We left the airport and caught a taxi to her apartment. I looked out of the window to see all the fancy shops and all the people walking. It was really busy. We stopped at a nearby park.
"Follow me, we're nearly there!" Vicky said.
We finally arrived at Vicky's apartment and it was cool. It had a Zebra rug on the floor (that I wasn't too sure about), a glass table and some leather seats. It was really stylish.
"Did I mention that I got tickets to a concert tomorrow AND back stage passes?" Vicky asked.
"No... but you just did!" I replied, with a smile on my face.
"Now lets go and watch a movie after you finished unpacking. Follow me to your room!"
I took out all my clothes and took out the two charms the cheif of an African village gave me. I looked around for some string and attached them to the string to make a necklace. One would be for Mike and the other for me. Me and Vicky watched "Miss Doubtfire" and had popcorn and a little bit of booze. Vicky said it was a girlie night in, I thought it was more of a chill out.
The next day, we woke up early and got everything sorted for the concert tonight. We left the house at 11am and soon we were on our way! It was a 1 hour journey to the venue. Vicky parked her car and ran to the gate, and I followed her. The atmosphere around me was amazing. Everybody was singing "Basket Case" and everybody was really excited. 2pm - The gate opened and everybody ran to the front. I got lost but found Vicky in a few minutes.
5pm - A man walks onto the stage. Everybody screams and shouts. Vicky gets spastic.
"AAAAAAAAH!!!!" Vicky screamed, "I LOVE YOU!"
And the man replied with a wink. He stood on stage and had a look at the crowd then turned to place his drumsticks by the drum. When we walked off the stage the crowd went wild. Then it was the long wait for 2 hours until the concert would start.
7pm - 3 Men walk on the stage. One with a bass guitar, another with a guitar and then theres Tre Cool. It was amazing, everybody around sang along with the songs with their arms the air like they just don't care. I had to stay silent because I didn't know the lyrics, I was new to the band. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
9pm - It was the end and I just wanted the concert to carry on forever... It was the best moment in my life.
"Come Madison, lets go back stage!" Vicky said.
We walked past many people, most of them were stage crew, helping the concert move smoothly. Then Tre Cool walked past and stopped to talk to us...
"Hey ladies!" Then he stared at me, "What's a pretty lady like you doing here?" and before I got to speak he said, "Come with me!"
I looked back at Vicky and she gave me the thumbs up. All I wanted was to get Vicky her autograph of Tre Cool then leave. I sat down on a sofa and stared around the room. I picked up a picture of a lady on the floor and placed it on the table infront of me.
"Oh thats Adrienne." Tre said, "Want a drink?" and he popped open his bottle of beer.
"No thanks" I replied.
Tre sat down next to me. I felt really uneasy so I shuffled a little bit. Then Tre leaned over me...
"Oh god... some idiot is chasing me!" A man came into the room and closed the door behind him, he then stared at me. "Hey... are you Madison?"
"Oh my fucking god, it's you Billie Joe!" I replied and I ran over to him to hug him.
"Ok... you are his ex?" Tre asked.
"NO! We just used to go to school together..." Billie replied, "So, how was London?"
"Well... we went to Africa... when I was wondering about, my dad received a phone call saying that we should go to Africa.." I replied.
"SAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" We heard screams and shouts from the corridor.
"Shit... It's Vicky!" I said and ran out side. I bumped into a tall man. "You idiot..!"
"Madison?" The man interrupted.
"Mike?"
