Another Boy, Another Love, Another Heartbreak, chapter 2
"Really?" Asked Billie Joe.
"You guys rock." I siad. Tre' was smiling at me from behind his drumbs.
After they played a few more songs, Mike went to go get a drink. Tre' came over and sat down beside me. Billie Joe looked over to us for a split second then looked back.
"You're going to Lincoln, right?" Tre' asked me.
"Yeah," I said. He was staring into my eyes.
"You have really pretty eyes." He said. Was he hitting on me? No way.
"Thanks... I like your hair." I said pointing to his bright green hair.
"Thanks." He said. Then Billie Joe plopped down next to Tre'. At that moment Mike returned with a cold soda in his hand. Tre' looked as if he was going to start talking to me again so I said,
"I uh, actually should get going." Tre's face fell.
"See you tomorrow," He said. Billie Joe got up and offered to walk me home.
We walked in silence. We were half way home when Billie Joe finally spoke,
"Hey uh," He started to say something but stopped.
"Mike doesn't seem to like me does he?" I asked.
"Oh no he just sometimes has trouble warming up to new people." Billie Joe explaied.
"Tre' doesn't seem to have any problem warming up to me." I joked. Billie Joe smiled and said,
"Yeah, it's like you're a light bulb and he's a bug. He's drawn to..." He couldn't seem to finnish the sentence. We bid out good-byes when we finally arrived at my house.
"Was that him?" Asked my mom from the living room as I shut the door behind me.
"What?" I asked.
"Is he your new friend?" She asked.
"Oh yeah. I watched his band play in his gargage tonight." I said. I kissed her on the cheek and said good night. I climbed the stairs to my room and shut the door behind me. I grabbed my cell phone off my desk and dialed Becca's number. I told her everything that happened when she picked up.
"Sounds like Tre' likes you." She giggled from the other line.
"I dunno." I said. After we talked for a while she yawned and said,
"Hey, it's getting pretty late how 'bout you call me after school tomorrow?" She asked.
"Okay, yeah we better turn in." I said.
"Bye." She said.
"Night," I said as I hung up.
