Another Boy, Another Love, Another Heartbreak, chapter 9
I met up with Billie after school. Tre and Mike had to go somewhere so it was just me and him. We decided to go to his house and hang out. I still wasn't sure what to do about the whole "breaking up" mom situation. We were in his room talking about stuff when all of a sudden I blurted out,
"Billiemymomwantsustobreakup." I said it so fast it sounded like one word. He stopped what he was doing.
"What?" He asked. I remained silent. What the hell is wrong with me?
"I have to go..." I said and stood up. Tears sprung to my eyes when I saw the hurt expression on his face.
"Kailee..." He started to say something but I ran out the door. I couldn't face him.
"Kailee wait!" He ran after me.
"I'm sorry." I said. Pools of tears formed under my eyes and spilled down my cheeks.
"Hey hey hey, don't cry..." He pulled me into a hug and I cried into his shoulder.
"This is so fucking unfair!" I said looking up into his bright green eyes that I loved so much.
"I know." He stroked my hair.
"Billie she can't do this..." I said. "I... I love you." I choked out. He looked down at me.
"I love you too..." He said.
"But... God this is so hard." I started to cry again.
"Shhhhh..." He held me close and it made me feel so safe I started to cry harder. How could I ever leave this boy that I loved so dearly...?
"We'll work something out..." He said.
"I'm not even suppose to be here now." I said.
"Wh... Why?" He asked.
"Some stupid reason..." I looked down at my shoes.
"Oh..." He said.
"Cause you and Tre' got in a fight... She... I don't know... She's..." I sighed.
"Oh." He said again but it sounded like I just told him that his whole family was killed.
"Billie I am so sorry." I said.
"Well... I guess we have no choice now..." He said this with great difficulty I could tell. I saw pools of tears forming under his eyes.
"What? Of course we do! Don't say that!" I looked up at him.
"I don't want you to go behind your mom's back because of me..." He said.
"I'm not! I'm doing this for me too!... For us..." I added the last part in a whisper. He looked down at me.
"Kailee you don't understand..."
"No I don't!" I snapped. Did he WANT to break up?
"By seeing me... It's something your mom doesn't want... That's not going to make her like me any better..." He looked away.
"Billie..." A tear dropped from his eye and splashed onto his cheek and slid down before he had a chance to wipe it away.
"Billie no..." I said and wiped the tear away from his cheek that was now sliding down onto his chin.
"Kailee we have to!" He said his voice cracking with sobs.
"No we don't Billie!" I said and looked up into his eyes. "No we don't." I said again.
