She Always Was His Girl, chapter 51
August of 2006 had rolled around, and it was the ninth and final month of Adrienne's pregnancy. Her due date was just around the corner, and Billie Joe couldn't wait. He honestly didn't give a fuck that the child was not biologically his; he was going to raise her as an Armstrong.
Adrienne had hired a decorator to fix up the spare bedroom into a nursery, so it would be already fixed up when the baby arrived. The decorator themed the room Precious Moments dolls and pastel colors, and even Billie Joe had to admit that it was "adorable";.
"Oh baby. It's adorable."; Billie Joe said to a very pregnant Adrienne as he entered the baby's room.
"I know. I loved the colors she used."; Adrienne replied wrapping her arms around her husband's narrow waist.
Billie Joe gently hugged her and placed a kiss on the crown of her head. He let his hand run down to the curvature of her ass when she playfully pushed him away.
"Baby, I'm pregnant."; she giggled.
"I know, but that doesn't change the fact that you're still the sexiest little thing I've ever seen."; he laughed snaking his arms around her body. He pressed his lips onto her slightly darker, red, intriguing lips, and stared into her big brown eyes that he had fallen in love with so long ago.
"Oh Adie, I wish I wouldn't have ever done this shit to you."; he said.
"Honey, don't put yourself down. Maybe this was meant to happen to ya know, bring us even closer. They always say everything happens for a reason, and look at us now. We're like all over each other."; she joked.
"Yea, I guess you're right, but I don't know. And I have no fucking clue whatsoever on how to tell Katie that I want to be with you.";
"I really don't know what to tell you. I mean, if I was her, I wouldn't want to hear it all, but at least try to tell her in the most rational and nicest way you can put it.";
"Okay. I'll try to think of a way to put it."; he said with a melancholy expression.

It was the due date of Adrienne's baby, August twenty-fifth, and boy was she ready. She had decided to take medication this time instead of natural childbirth, as she had done with both Joey and Jakob. She decided it would be the easiest on her since she was a little older than she had been with when she had had her other two children.
Billie Joe had proposed the baby's name to be Carmen Ella Armstrong, and Adrienne had agreed on that as well. What she didn't know, however, was that the name was in honor of his hidden adoration of Carmen Elektra.
Adrienne lay on the hospital bed as she pushed out the baby girl that had been growing inside of her for the past nine months. Being experienced with having two children in the past, she knew exactly what to do, making it a lot easier on the father, Billie Joe. When she had had Joey and Jakob, she about squeezed the fuck out of his hand from the pain, but with the epidural she was doing quite well.
With a few more pushes, Carmen was out, and Billie Joe, clad in a plastic smock and footies, was waiting not so patiently to hold his newborn daughter. After the doctor had wiped the baby off and wrapped her in a light pink blanket and handed her over to the awaiting father.
Billie Joe held his baby while they cleaned Adrienne up. He ran his finger over Carmen's tiny nose and then she grabbed his finger in her small, dimpled hand. She had a little tuft of dark brown hair on the top of her little head, which Billie Joe gently smoothed down so it was sticking up like Tre's faux-hawk. Carmen was the cutest baby he had ever laid eyes on, and he got to raise her as his own.
Meanwhile, Adrienne was waving her arms around signaling that she too wanted to hold the small human she had carried within her. Billie Joe carefully handed the infant to her mother who also attempted to smooth down her hair. Carmen let out a little yawn, which drew an "Aw"; from everyone in the hospital room.
The nurses took Carmen into the bathing area and cleaned her off even more and then took her to the nursery so she could have a short nap before going home. While she was napping, Billie Joe and Adrienne walked down the corridors of the hospital hand-in-hand to the nursery to watch their baby.
They were one big happy family--The way it should be.

August had drawn to a close, and September entered with its usual emotional roller coaster for Billie Joe. He spent as much time with the new baby as possible. Carmen stayed on his mind most of the time while the other ten percent of the time that he had he spent thinking about what he was going to say to Katie. Her due date was October thirtieth, and he wanted to break it to her before she had the baby, that way there was a little less stress on both of them.
A few weeks into September, Billie Joe decided it was time to tell Katie that he no longer wanted to be with her. He couldn't believe how he had been in love with her for almost twenty years, and then as fast as he fell in love with her, he fell out of love with her. He had spent so much with her, and still loved her with all of his heart but he didn't want to be romantically involved with her. He wanted his wife.
Adrienne.
"Katie, I want you to sit down. We need to talk.";
Billie Joe patted his hand upon the cushion of the couch beside him. Katie walked over to him and plopped down on to the couch.
"What's wrong?"; Katie questioned unsure of where this was going.
"You know how we've spent so much time together, and now you're giving me another baby,"; he waited for a nod from her and then continued, "Well, you know I'm always going to love you for that right?"; Katie nodded once again and he went on. "You see, Adrienne is still my wife right now. I love her too. She has given me two sons and now a daughter. I've spent twelve years with her, and out of all those twelve years, I don't regret a single one.";
"Baby, I'm not sure what you're saying."; she said nervously.
"I want to be with Adrienne.";
Billie Joe watched her as this look of pain and sorrow appeared on her face. She was going to find out at some point in her life. He and Adrienne had already cancelled the divorce papers. Katie got up and stumbled a little, but caught her balance on the coffee table.
"Get the FUCK out of my house!"; she screamed.
"Katie honey, please don't be this way."; he pleaded looking into her pained, stormy, blue eyes. He grabbed her arm gently, and tried to get her to sit back down.
"No! You don't ever fucking touch me again! I want you to get out, and get out right fucking now. I swear to God, Billie Joe, I will call the cops on you and charge you with assault.";
"I didn't do anything to you!"; he responded, his temper flaring. He felt the vein pop out of his neck as he stood before her with his hands on his hips.
"I fucking hate you!"; she cried, tears flowing down her cheeks.
She staggered once again, but this time he caught her, but noticed that she didn't look quite right. She no longer had a look of distress on her face. It was more like a scared and despondent look.
"Katie, what's the matter?"; he questioned, helping her to her feet.
"I-I think m-my water just broke."; she stuttered.
