"Billie... Billie Joe... For Fuck sake!" Mike yelled and threw the pillow at him.
Billie Joe winced and looked at Mike. "What?" He replied.
Mike sighed and sat down on the arm-chair across from Billie.
The year was 1997 and it had been two years since Billie had stormed out on Claire and Green Day were back to normal, Well sort off!
Yeah he admitts that he had been using her for sex but he was just so confused back then. He now realises that he's madly in love with Claire but he cant find her anywhere!
"Dude.. I know you miss Claire or whatever... But you have to concentrate on this band.. If you don't.. Were out" Mike said gestering from him to Tre who was drinking his chocolate milk.
Billie Joe sighed and put his head in his hands. "I know.. And I'm really sorry but I just cant get her out of my head..." Billie Joe said and Mike felt sorry for his best friend.
Mike got up while grabbing his jacket. Tre also got up and they both looked at Billie Joe.
"We will give you some time ok? Time to think about whatever.. But just think.. We will see you later back at the flat.." Mike said and they both walked out the door leaving Billie Joe alone.
Billie Joe sat still for a minute before getting up and grabbing his brand new acoustic guitar from its stand. While sitting down again he remembered the day of Claire's parent's funeral.
What was that song that he had sang to Claire in the car? Billie Joe wracked his brain and then the words finally popped into his head...

So make the best of this test and don't ask why..." Billie Joe sang and tears came to his eyes. He quickly got his pad and wrote down those words along with others to complete a song.
Mike and Tre came back a while later and Billie Joe was so excited to show them his new song.
"Guys its perfect... Claire.. She.. Ok just listen!" Billie Joe smiled and sat Mike and Tre down.
He grabbed his guitar again and started to the play the song...
