Bab's Uvula Who?, chapter 7

There was something inside of me that I was hiding for the longest time. I knew it was there, but I didn't know what it was. It was causing me to stay in my own mind. I was being quiet and or snapping at people the entire time when we were in Los Angeles. Was it jealousy? Was it curiosity? I had no idea what it was. Those weren't the only two possibilities either. I had no idea what to think of myself either. What was I becoming? What was I feeling? I was always spaced out from the outside world and I was getting mad at myself. Petulance and irritation were slowly setting in. But when we actually did sign, I was so excited. Even if I didn't want it. I ended up calling everyone, like we didn't know we were going to get it. I felt terrible that we were only accepted through connections. If I wanted to do anything with the band, I wanted to work for it and not just one day wake up and know that we have a deal after someone huge heard us. Not my idea of success. At all. But it happened anyway. We had the money for recording and all that so we weren't concerned about that for when the time came.

We arrived home in Oakland, and Tre was there waiting for me, like I had been for him a few days earlier. I wasn't expecting to see him there and I was still a little out of it, even after all the excitement. I wanted to go to him though. I wanted to be with him. We had called each other every day I was gone, talking about anything and everything. I was liking him a lot. I wanted him more and more each day.

I ran up to him and placed a kiss on his lips, making both of us smile.

'Wow.' He said fluttering his eyelashes and changing his voice.
'What was that for? '

I punched him in the arm.

'I'm glad to see you. And how'd you know what time we were landing? '

'You told me' He smiled bigger.

'I did? Ah.. Well, Thanks for coming'

'You're not getting off without celebrating either' He informed me. I had done enough of that in those few days, I could last a year. Hurray for more!

'What'd you have in mind?' I hugged him with one arm, as we waited for my baggage to come out of the little hole where the people just chuck your stuff onto the conveyer belt.

'Surprise. You'll have to wait'

'When is it?'

'Tonight. That's all I'll say' He smiled yet again, in the thought of what he was planning. I was curious. I knew he was unpredictable, so who knows what he had in store. There was going to be a lot of people most likely and some drinks being served. Who knows what else he had planned.

Later that night, I didn't know what to expect. Jenny and Vivian both knew there was a party and knew to expect the unexpected, and had invited people. I was feeling less confused about what I was feeling. I wasn't feeling much of anything but love and excitement. I was giddy too. Like a bubbly cheerleader feels when the hot quarterback walks by or something. I wanted to fall to the ground just like that one cheerleader would.

At around 5:30, when Tre said he would be at my house, a white limo appeared in the front of my house. I have to be honest, I was expecting that too. I felt glad that I was dressed in a fancy dinner dress that Vivian had designed for me a while back with some fancy jewelry and things. I saw the driver make his way up to my door. I watched him through the window, being unseen, when he knocked on the door. I waited a few moments before I answered it.

'Hello, Miss Wright?' He asked, in a strong German accent.

'Yeah. That would be me' I answered, trying not to burst and jump around right there. I felt like a moron too. Screaming and jumping around? Please.

'I have a ride for you to your engagement with a Mr. Cool'

'Thank you. Uhh. Do I need to tip you?' I asked. That was the stupidest thing. He was getting me, I wasn't paying for it, and you do that when he drops you off. I was changing way too much and fast. It was scaring me.

'No, that won't be necessary, thank you. Please, come with?' He said, me obviously stepping out of the door, and locking it behind me. I stepped into the back and found it was just Tre in there. He was wearing a tux and looked pretty "snazzy".

'Hey, what's with just us?' I asked, kissing him.

'Can't be alone now and then?' He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me in towards him.

'You look great'

'Thanks. You look great too' I complimented back. 'So where are we going?'

'Not telling. Everyone is there though'

'You're terrible' I laughed. He reached over and placed a kiss on my lips. We broke apart and saw the driver watching us in the mirror.

'Let us know when we get there' Tre said, starting to close the window to have privacy.

'Will do' He winked. When we were sealed off from the view of the driver, we closed the gap between our lips again, and I felt his tongue slide into mine. I felt like melting as that happened. I was doing math in my head though to figure out what was happening.

Hot man+
Celebration+
Kissing hot man+
Going to celebration+
In limo+
Feeling like a million bucks=
Melting.

The driver came to a stop, and we heard him get out of the car, which caused us to break apart.

'Must be here' He smirked.

'Have I told you how great you are?'

'Yeah. I think you have' He kissed me again.

'Oh yeah' I said, as the driver knocked on the door. Tre opened it a little then the driver opened it all the way. He stepped out and grabbed onto my hand, as I did the same. The place looked really nice. It was a fancy restaurant, that was turned into a club for the night. There was a lot of people in there, I could see them through the window. There was a giant cake in there too that said "Congrats" nut it obviously wasn't real. There were banners that said the same thing but with our name on it. "CONGRATS SOUL LOVE" was spread across the wall on a paper banner, which the band name was based on the David Bowie song, "Soul Love".

We both walked in, hand in hand and Vivian and Jenny ran over to us, screaming about how we were finally here to everyone. Obviously we were last to arrive. I saw a lot of people I knew and a lot I didn't know. I saw bands from my record label, Green Day, coworkers, local bands that I knew and listened too, and Carrie was there. I got excited at the site of her.

'Carrie! I wasn't expecting you!' I said, hugging her.

'I came for this and for bad news' She said, before we pulled apart.

'What?'

'Tomorrow. I'll tell you. Just have fun!' She cheered. I smiled and went to find Jenny and Vivian again. They were at the bar with Mike, all ordering some sort of odd colored fruity drink.

'Kristy! Congratulations' Mike said, opening his arms for a hug, and I gladly excepted.

'Thank you'

'You look better than the last time I saw you'

'I feel better too, mentally though. That girl could seriously kick. Watch out for her' I teased, with her standing right there. She was too into the drink that was being made for her to hear.

'What are you guys ordering? It's pink' I pointed out.

'Kristy! We got you one too' Jenny shrieked.

'OH! Guess what! Computer DJ playing just what all these people request for dancing. And he knows what we like too. I made sure of it' Vivian said, talking a million miles an hour.

'Geeze someone's hyper' I laughed. She reminded me of a little kid telling their parents something they did that they were proud of. I couldn't help but laugh at that. The moment she said that, the person in control of the music came over the massive speakers.

'We've got our first request. Howling at the Moon by the Ramones' They said, immediately followed by the music. Wow. She wasn't lying. But just then, something came to mind.

'Hey Mike, you know where Tre went?' I asked. He pointed up to the giant cake I had previously saw. He was standing up there, and hoping off the mini stage that was set up near the dining area. I made my way through the people, over to him.

'Hey Tre, where is Claudia at?' I asked him, immediately.

'Home. She told me about your past together. Honestly, it was hard to believe but she decided not to come' He informed me.

'Oh' I wasn't sure what to feel then. Back to round one. Should I be relieved? Should I be mad? Offended? I was confused.

All over again.

Later on through the night, I was starting to feel my drinks. I had had more than one already and wasn't necessarily to the "tipsy" stage of it yet, but I was nearing it. We had been sat down to eat and the seats and tables were facing towards the stage. Vivian, and Jenny were sitting at the table with their dates, along with Green Day and their dates.

'What did you do?' I asked him, when the lights dimmed and went to the mini-stage.

'Just wait'

'Thanks to Tre Cool, we have the following performance. Take it away' The DJ dude said, starting up the Partboy Song. My mouth dropped when I heard that. All of a sudden, a male dancer dressed in a shiny speedo and leather chaps and a cowboy hat popped out of the cake followed by five others dressed in sweat suits. Everyone doubled over in laughter when the men appeared. I thought I was going to suffocate from laughter while they all danced for everyone and Tre sat there looking proud.

'Oh my gosh. You are so great' I laughed, and kissed him causing the dancers to go "Ohhhh" and making the crowd double over even more. They started to make their way over to us causing me to panic about what was going to happen. But there was five and three of us. One of them gestured for us to stand up, and obediently we did so. One picked each of us up and the extra two decided to take Carrie and Adrienne. Adrienne's response caused everyone to laugh.

'No. You aren't taking me' She said, going to sit back down, but he picked her up anyway. 'AH! BILLIE HELP' She shrieked and trying to get out of the mans grasp, making her husband laugh even more. We were taken up to the stage, and when we got up there, they sat us in a chair and then "Take It Off" by the Donnas started to play. My eyes got huge, knowing what was coming next. I looked out into the audience. Everyone looked as if they knew exactly what was going to happen.

They started to do their rather interesting dance and when the bass part started, they ripped their pants off to expose their chaps and shiny speedos too. At the chorus they started to take their shirts off. I saw everyone laughing so much. I was still doubled over in laughter. They never took the rest of the clothing off but the guy that popped out of the cake, went and picked Tre up and brought him down with us and put him on a chair in front of us. The six men surrounded him, causing Tre's to look around at them. This was priceless. I thought Adrienne was going to suffocate too the way she was laughing at poor Tre. This was a rare sight to see. Tre Cool surrounded by six barley dressed dancers in center stage.

Later on in the night, the dancers were roaming around freely and talking to random people. I was starting to get more tipsy every passing minute and the night was coming to an end quickly. I was having so much fun, talking to old friends, and coworkers. It was the coolest and best thing anyone had ever done for me. I was excited by the entire thing and the fact that Tre got all this together was even better. I was still a little bit taken by the dancers though. I was thrown by it way to much but I figured hey, it's Tre Cool and he can do whatever he pleases.

The night went on even more and people started to clear out when the waiters started to announce they needed to close up and the dancers left. It wasn't long before Tre and I left too. They had driven to my place. I offered Tre to come in and he accepted, after making some exchanges of words and money objects with the driver. I waited next to him and we walked into my house together. Right when the door shut, we were in a full liplock. Me being shorter than him, it was easy to lift me off of the ground and over to the couch. I started to work my hands down towards his belt and he pulled away from me, both of us out of breath.

'You sure? ' He asked. I nodded. I was glad he was very caring about my decisions too. He then pulled me up towards him while I held onto him while he searched for the zipper on the back of the dress. I dug my fingers into his back as he did so, kissing his neck. Once it was peeled from me, I started to go for the buttons on his shirt. Soft moans escaped from both of us, making me want him even more. It wasn't long before I found that we were wearing absolutely nothing. This time I actually knew what I was doing. He slowly thrust into me, and we both picked up a steady rhythm, now moaning even more. I was way more sober than the skanky night we first met. Even before anything was happening, our bodies were in a sweat and both of us were moaning at the feel of our bare chests touching. I couldn't believe it.

He was great. In every aspect.
