All Hail the Heartbreaker, chapter 3
Before she could turn around and close the door, he stopped her. "Wait." he said. She didn't turn to look at him. "I'm sorry. It was way out of line for me to ask you that. I don't want to leave. I like you."
She looked at him. He's sincere enough, she thought. Maybe she could tell him everything. Or maybe she could just let him stay. Her heart made a little flutter when she heard him say "I like you," so she left the door open and sort of smiled but smirked mainly, and went into the bathroom.
Billie walked into her hotel room and sat down on the bed. It was evening, the sun hadn't even set yet. But he was tired, so he took off his jacket and threw it on the floor and leaned back, both his feet still on the ground and fell asleep.
Ryn walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later with damp curly hair and a t-shirt and boxers. She saw Billie Joe halfway on the bed with his shoes still on and his feet flat on the ground. The sight of him sleeping made her smile- he looked so innocent. She pulled off his shoes for him quickly and moved him up onto the bed. Then she laid down next to him. Out of the corner of her eye she could see his chest rise and fall with every breath he took. He's something else, Ryn thought.
Billie woke up to the sun shining through the windows. There she was, just lying a foot maybe away from him. She looked beautiful. He got up and went to the bathroom, and when he came out he found her on the balcony staring out at the the streets below her. He walked onto the balcony and leaned against the railing right beside her.
"Morning." He said, turning his head in her direction.
"Morning." She replied, not even turning to look at him. Billie put his hand on her shoulder. Then he moved behind her and put his head on her shoulder and hugged her from behind. He could feel her shoulder blades tighten together as if she was uncomfortable but then they relaxed.
"It's a beautiful day," Billie said, trying to start conversation.
She smirked. That was the closest she ever got to a smile, was a smirk. Her green eyes sparkled and there was this hint of mischeviouness in them. "Sure, it's a lovely day. You can almost see the depletion of the o-zone layer that will soon lead to our slow, painful deaths."
"Well then," he said, grinning and kissing her forehead. "Aren't you a negative nancy..." She lit a cigarette and laid down on the hotel bed. Billie laid down beside her and turned himself to face her. After a long moment of silence, he spoke.
"I want to take you out." He said.
She looked at him. "What?"
"I want to take you out. Like, a date. I want to take you out."
"I don't understand. We've already slept together... why do we need to... go anywhere?"
"Because."
"... You're a murderer aren't you?"
"No! I just think it's a good way to get to know you."
"As opposed to having anonymous sex on a sidewalk after a concert of an alright rock star? Nonsense."
Billie smiled at her. "Please. Just let me take you out."
She sighed. "Fine. But I'm not wearing a skirt."
"Okay. Hey, wait, what do you mean 'alright' rock star?" But she was already in the shower.
Billie Joe just sat on the bed, wondering what he had just done. Yeah, he really liked this girl. But she wasn't wanting a relationship, anyone with half a mind could see that. But something about her grabbed him.
She came out of the bathroom about a half an hour later to find Billie Joe just sitting on the edge of the bed. His eyebrows were close together and he looked like he was concentrating. It was enough to make Ryn smile. He looked so cute with his hair sticking up and concentrating so hard.
"Are you ready?" she said, breaking his concentration. He looked up at her. She was wearing nothing more than jeans and a Rolling Stones t-shirt but she looked amazing.
--------Billie Joe's Point of View--------
I had never been so nervous in my life. Everything had always made sense in my life, but this girl was like a puzzle that was missing a few peices. I tried the traditional date deal, I took her out for food. Now here we were, walking around a local park and I had no idea what to say. But somehow my hand found it's way into hers, and that made our silence okay.
She constantly gave off this weird vibe, like she was letting me hold her hand, not holding mine back. And her eyes. They would change from looking empty to looking like they held the world behind them.
She had her head down looking at her feet when I felt a rain drop fall on my head. I looked at her.
"We should probably get back to the hotel." I said reluctantly. The rain started to come down faster. It was practically pouring when I pulled her over to a tree where there was a little bit (not much) shelter. But she released from my hand and stood out in the middle of the rain. She looked at me and smiled. No smirk, just a smile, like her heart was speaking to mine. I walked towards her as she turned around in a circle slowly. She looked at me, smiling, her hair wet and curling by her lit up face.
And then she just simply said, "I like the rain. It makes everything new." That's when everything changed. I kissed her, and she kissed back.
We ran upstairs to the hotel room, dripping wet and giggling like we were two little kids who had just gone out in the rain when their parents told them not to. We started to kiss again and then I was sure everything had changed and we were on a whole new level. Her eyes looked crystal clear and had changed completely since the first night I met her.
She was tugging at my shirt and at my pants. I just wanted to feel myself inside of her and heal her of all her pain. I wanted to use my body to protect hers, to protect me. Together, we were safe.
----- Ryn's Point of View -------
I don't know what it was that changed, but when he kissed me it was like something inside of me I never knew I had came out. I couldn't stop kissing him, it was like I needed his breath to breathe. We were wet and gross but it didn't matter as we laid down on the bed. I just wanted to crawl inside him and create that burning feeling in him that he had created in me. I wanted our souls to speak to eachother. I wanted to scar myself into him, imprint myself into his body in a way that he could never remove.
I wanted him to find everything he'd ever needed. Everything he'd ever wanted. In me.
She looked at him. He's sincere enough, she thought. Maybe she could tell him everything. Or maybe she could just let him stay. Her heart made a little flutter when she heard him say "I like you," so she left the door open and sort of smiled but smirked mainly, and went into the bathroom.
