That night something amazing happened!
I saw a light. A bright light.
"Hello?" I said. Maybe someone can hear me.
"Hello Billie Joe," someone said.
"Who are you? Where am I?" I asked.
"I am God. You are not supposed to be here yet. You have to watch your kids grow, especially the one you lost. You have to see what she likes and dislikes, and what she likes to do. Well, what I am saying is that you have to get to know her. You know Joey and you know Jacob but not Brittany. You need to watch your kids grow up and see their kids and watch them grow. You are not ready to be here so I am sending you back," He said.
Then I woke up in a room with a blanket on me. I walked out the room to see Tre and Mike. They had scratches on their faces, so did I. I have to go back home! I have to go see my family.
"We are going to walk home," I said to Tre and Mike.
"Ok," They both said in unison.
We walked to my house then Tre and Mike left. I walked into my house quietly. First, I went into my room. Adie was sleeping. I gently woke her up.
"Adie...Adie...it's me. I'm not dead," I told her.
"Billie Joe? Oh my God!" she said hugging me tightly as I hugged her back. "I thought I lost you."
"Yeah well I thought I lost you," I told her.
"You have to go see Brittany she has been crying all night," Adie told me.
"Yeah I know and I have the perfect present for her too. First I will go see the boys," I told her as I left out of the room and up the stairs to Joey's room then Jacob's.
Finally I was in Brittany's room. I quietly got in her bed and layed there next to her. I played with her hair. Then she woke up.
"Dad?" She asked me.
"Hey, Brittany. I have your present!" I told her.
She got up and hugged me and started to cry.
"Dad, I love you! You left me and now you are back! This is the best birthday present ever!" she screamed. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
I looked at her. She was still crying. I whiped some of the tears off of her face.
"Hey, Brittany, let's go somewhere tomorrow. Just you and me," I told her.
"Ok, Dad," Brittany said.
"Ok, well good night Brittany. I will wake you up in the morning," I told her as I kissed her forehead.
"Good night, Dad. I love you," Brittany told me, kissing my cheek.
"I love you too," I said to her leaving her room. I went down stairs and went into my room and went to bed.
