"What's going on?" Billie Joe groaned, waking up.Feeling something tight around his chest, he tried to pull it off, finding his hands and feet were also bound together with painfully tight, thick black rope.An evil laugh echoed through the tiny room.Glancing around, Billie Joe's eyes fell on a computer.It was much larger than normal, the monitor being roughly the same size as a cinema screen, and with a very complicated keyboard.And leading to the machine, was a trail of pawprints.
"What the hell-" muttered Billie Joe.
The computer suddenly switched itself on, making him jump.The furry face of Cosmo the cat appeared on the huge screen.
"Well well Billie Joe" he said, with the closest thing to a smirk a cat can manage, "Seems you're in a bit of a pickle.I think we need to have a little chat, and I can explain why you're here.And what we're capeable of"
Billie Joe blinked in disbelief.Was he really being held hostage by a talking cat? Cosmo suddenly slithered out of the screen, a remote control clutched in his busy tail.
"What's going on" shouted Billie Joe, "How did you do that, and where am I?"
Cosmo smiled again, pulling a cat treat from it's backpack.
"Want one?" he asked
It was then that Billie Joe realized he was starving.Perhaps not hungry enough for cat food, but he might very well have accepted in a few hours.He shook his head though, deciding not to eat anything this bizarre creature offered him.
"Suite yourself" Cosmo answered, crunching another one noisily, "I suppose you'll want to know why you're here"
Dazed, Billie Joe nodded.
"It all started when Mendax, the ruler of the cats, took an interest in your silly little band"
Something hot caught in Billie Joe's throat.Where were Tre and Mike?
"He got a bit carried away" continued Cosmo, "He wants you to come to Caji, our planet"
This had to be a nightmare, Billie Joe thought, there's no such place as Caji.
"I can't come to your planet" he tried to explain, "I've got a family here"
Cosmo smirked.
"I know you have a family" he said, "Mendax had Oden stationed at their house.Thats what we need to discuss"
He pointed the remote at the now blank screen, which instantly changed to a horrifying sceane.Adrienne, Jakob and Joey were, like Billie Joe, tied to chairs with thick black rope.
"Adie" Billie Joe screamed, "No"
"Oh yes" said the cat, "Myself and Oden are MEndax's top workers.He sent us on this mission specialy.My brother Felix is dealing with your silly friends, well the one who's left.Oden will take care of your family"
It was too much for Billie Joe to take in.Just four days ago, they'd all been at his house.There had been party, to say goodbye before the tour.He'd hugged Adie and the boys, and set off laughing with his best friends.And now, either Tre or Mike, was dead?
"Let them go" he croaked, "Please let them go"
Cosmo ignored him and lifted his walkie talkie.
"Are you receiving me Oden?" he said into it.
"Loud and clear Cosmo" came another voice
"Good" Cosmo said, "Billie Joe is awake now, Mendax is allowing each of you to kill a hostage.I've to keep silly Billie here, alive.Apparently, he can help Mendax find St. Jimmy"
Billie Joe tried t lunge forward and grab the cat, forgetting he was tied up.He cracked his head on the cold, metal floor.
"I've got a cheeky one here" Oden continued, as blood began to gush from Billie Joe's head."She keeps screaming at me not to hurt her babies"
Billie Joe jerked his head up.
"No" he screamed, "Don't hurt Adie"
Cosmo smirked, running a sharp claw down Billie Joe's face.He bit his lip.Screeching wasn't going to help anyone.The cat pressed a button on the walkie talkie.
"Agent Oden" he said, "Kill Adrienne"

"More tuna" ordered Mendax "And some milk if you please"
Two cat slaves ran to the kitchen.Mendax was in good spirits following the Green Day capture, and they wanted to keep it that way.
Perhaps this would be a good time to explain how things work on Caji.There is a royal family, just like Britain, except that the ruler controls everything.Mendax had been in power for about two years at the time of this story.Immediately below the King (or Queen), are the agents.The best agents are considered very important and are highly respected and rich.This was the job of Cosmo, Felix and Oden.After the agents are the Baisks, who are responsibly for organising protection from enemies such as dogs and space explorers.Then there are the top guards, with their very high wages, then the ordinary Caji cats, then the slaves.At the very bottom of the pyramid, there are the prisoners, the cats found guilty of crimes so terrible, they were stipped of their collers.
"How many of those idiots are dead?" Mendax asked one of his slaves.The slaves also have the unfortionate duty of keeping Mendax informed, not a nice task when you don't have good news.
Shaking in terror, the slave replied-
"One y-your m-majesty.But another has been poisoned.Oden promiseds she will be dead in three whiskers.(Whiskers on Caji, last for around 21 hours.There are 50 whiskers in a Cji year)
Mendax tutted.
"It takes too long" he complained, "I only have 14 whiskers left.And I need St Jimmy for my big plan.Billie Joe is the only one who can lead me to him"
The cat slaved sighed.
"Are you sure this Jimmy exists sir?" he asked worriedly "He might just be a song"
Mendax snorted.
"Are you implying that I am deaf?" he asked threateningly "I know what I hear, and those idiots know Jimmy"
The cat slave nodded, setting about the task of clearing the mess surrounding the King's throne.
"Out of interest, your majesty" he said, "What is your big plan"
"NONE OF YOUR BUISNESS" Mendax roared, "JUST YOU CLEAN THE CASTLE AND LEAVE KILLING THAT LOT AND FINDING JIMMY, TO ME"
