The Disappearing Boy, chapter 18
Mike drove back home from Billie and Adrienne's house about an hour later.
"Anyone. I don't think it really matters," he repeated. Who was he going to bring? Pulling into the garage, he turned the key in the ignition and opened the door to his BMW and stepped out. He shut the door and gave a small sigh before walking to the garage door. Setting his keys on the counter, he walked over to the couch, picked up the remote and dropped to the cushions with the air knocking out of his chest. Slowly he flipped on the channels until his cell phone started to ring, again.
"Ughh! What the hell do you want from me?!" shouted Mike as he fumbled to get the damn thing out of his pocket. "Hello?!"
"Dude! Calm down! It's just me!" answered the other person on the line, Tre.
"Oh, sorry. I'm just... I dunno. What's up?"
"Eh, not much. I was bored so I figured I'd call the one person I absolutely love to bug the mostest! My Mikey!"
"Pshh, thanks. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now!"
"Yeah, well, good. Soooooo... Who are you going to the party with?"
"Haha. You sound like a school girl when you ask that."
"I can dress like one too but c'mon! Tell me!"
"Alright, alright. I'll tell you. I was, well, thinking about asking Crystal."
"And that would be...?"
"Crystal! She was my old girlfriend! I think... I dunno."
"Oh, that one chick you cried like a girls over. I see. I'm taking some random girl I met at Rudy's. She's pretty sweet. Her name is... Uh, I dunno. I'll get it sooner or later though."
"Okay. Well, the party is gonna start in a while so I'm gonna go get ready, and call Crystal. See you there."
"'Kay. Bye"
Mike hung up the phone. With a smile, he turned off the TV and walked into the bathroom to get ready.

When Mike was dressed and lookin' spiffy, he took the napkin with Crystal's number on it out of his pocket and dialed the number on his cell phone. He waited for a while, listening to the ringing.
"Hello?"
"Uh, Crystal?"
"Yeah. Mike? Is that you?"
"Yeah. Um, I was wondering if eh, you wanted to go to a party with me."
"Sure. It'll be a while for me to get ready. How about you pick me up in an hour?"
Mike looked down at his watch. It read 6:07 pm.
"An hour? Sure."
After Mike got the address, he turned the TV on again and waited for the time to pass by.

Finally! He found her house after searching for 20 minutes or so. Mike walked to the front door and rang the bell. It was a nice house. White, too. A step from the piece of shit place she used to live in with Adam. She opened it and poked her head outside. Her eyes widened once she noticed it was Mike.
"Let's go!" she shouted after locking the door. The two got into the car and drove off.
By the time they got to Billie and Adrienne's place, it was packed full of people.
"This is Billie's house?" asked Crystal.
"Hehe, yep. This is it," replied Mike.
"Wow."
The two walked in the house and there first image was Tre making out with what seemed to be the random girl he met and Billie dancing on the table while Adrienne tried to get him to stop. Others were just running around. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked over at Mike and Crystal. For a few seconds, no one said a thing, leaving the two a little nervous.
"What did we do?" whispered Crystal.
