My Life Got Better.. After I Died, chapter 10
I had gotten the second chance that I never thought I would get. I was running out of my room. I was going to Travis's house. I was so excited, I ran all the way there. I got to his house and knocked on the door and anxiously waited for Travis to answer.
"Rebecca?" He said confused.
"Travis I am sooo sorry, and I do want to be with you." I told Travis. I wasnt quite sure if Travis would accept the apology. I guess I had never considered that to be an outcome.
"Coool, but why did you say it then?" He asked. Travis always said cool with much empahsis on the 'o' and added a few o's into the word.
"I was mad and stuff." I said I wanted Travis to accept the apology.
"You could have just talked to me." He said.
"Well I didnt want to leave behind any unfinished business, becuase I was going to kill myself." I said.
"Really? Well dont." He said.
"I'm not." I said.
"Wanna go get some coffee or something?" Travis asked.
"Sure." I said. Travis and I began to walk down the road to the mall, where we would sit in Starbucks and drink some over-priced coffee. As we were sitting there I felt an eerie feeling. I turned around. Seth was there, I could still see him. He just smiled. I guess he was sort of like a guardian angel to me now. I turned back around and continued talking with Travis. Later on that afternoon, after Travis walked me home I helped my mom make dinner and then me and my sister ate with my mom at the dining room table.
A few days later Travis came over to my house.
"Whats up?" I asked him.
"I got you something." He says handing me an envelope.
"Why?" I say opening the envelope.
"Just because." he says I continue opening the envelope. Inside is a ticket for the Green Day concert.
"Oh My God." I say, hugging him.
"So will you go with me?" He asks.
"Of course." I say. I forgot that Green Day were coming. From that point on I never even considered suicide to be an option. From the day I came back to life I had more fun, or so it seemed. I guess I just had a new perspective on life now. I went to the concert with Travis and my friends. I also saw Seth a few more times and never regreted my decision of coming back.
