My Life Got Better.. After I Died, chapter 9
The night went by fast. Seth and I just hung around the hotel, playing numerous pranks on people wandering around. An old man was standing by the elevator and every time the elevator would come down to pick him up, Seth and I would quickly push 'Door Close' button. After about 5 times the man decided to just take the stairs.
"Took him long enough to decide to walk his fat ass up the stairs." I say to Seth.
"Yeah he shouldn't be out so late." Seth said jokingly. Seth and I were going back to Green Day's room. It was early in the morning and Green Day would be getting up and leaving soon. Seth and I just hung out and waited. Finally the guys beagn to wake.
"Another show tonight." Mike said getting up. The guys were leaving today to play at their next stop. I knew that I had to make my decision to stay or not. Once again I felt as if Seth could read my mind.
"So what are you going to do? stay with Green Day or stay in town?" Seth asked me.
"I wish I wasnt dead, to be honest." I told Seth. Seth was silent and I was getting suspicious.
"Are you sure?" He asked me.
"Yeah I mean hanging out and bothering Green Day was fun, but I really wish I could go back and just hang out with my friends and see Travis." I said honestly.
"Well maybe I can help." Seth said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked Seth.
"Well I know this sounds strange, but your not dead." He said. I thought this was some kind of joke.
"No, I am though. I killed myself along time ago and then a ghost gave me the chance to go back and I turned the offer down, and now I am the ghost who is supposed to make people realize they have more to live for." Seth said.
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah, now you can go back, but just remember you dont get anymore chances, so if things get too bad and you decide to end your life once more, thats it. Now if you want to go back close your eyes and say 'Okay' " Seth said. I thought for a few seconds. I looked around at the guys. I saw Billie Joe look at Tre with an evil smirk on his face. He probably had planned a revenge prank to pull on Tre already. I hoped this wasnt going to be the last time I saw the guys.
"Okay." I said, with my eyes closed. I opened my eyes and I looked around the room. Green Days' Wake Me Up When September Ends was playing. I looked down in my hand and saw a knife. I was moments away from killing myself. I set down the knife and ran out of my room.
